Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

They quite possibly changed the fabrication process over the years. Bernie's if '03 I think and ours is '06. I know there is steel or maybe alum box section in the roof because I found it when I modified the solar junction box that I put on the roof instead of that pissy little gland they use. I think they must have just relied on the dicor to seal it, back in the day. I will know for sure, when I take out the roof rattler and put in an inverter start airco, one day.

Good morning everyone. I had a proper sleep in, but I was up late. Washed the Winny and trimmed a bit more greenery. No rain for us, but humidity 94%, so it's not much fun. I think it's our turn for a storm again today. We are going out for lunch today, might be a long one, so probably won't get much else done today. Happy hump day everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

If the hole you drilled for the solar junction box was approx. 40mm from the edge, that is the aluminium section that runs up each side. It will be interesting to see what they used to hold up the air con unit .... maybe they add a welded section running from side to side for the factory install, before all the roofing material goes on. They give the specs to the dealer so they can find the spot and cut it out to install the air con unit if it wasn't a factory fitted job.

Ever wondered where those text messages you sent but never arrive go to? Seem they float around in the network, I just received one that wassent 12 mths ago, but it's dated today 11:08am ..... when I rang the number the person who was refered to in the text message was some what confused at first, then when I mentioned who'd refereed him to us and what it was about, he said that was over 12 mths ago and it was all taken care of now ....

T1, there is bugger all alloy in our frame, according to my magnet. Not as much steel in the roof as I thought either, except where the factory puts the solar panels. I reckon it would fail the roll-over test. Hope I never have to find out.
I did a bit of testing and research yesterday when I was bored.

I want one of those magnets that detect aluminium!!! I lost a 7ft length of alum over the side a while ago & just scratched my head...............
I've picked up socket wrenches, hammers, spanners & lots & lots of pop rivet stems but never anything Alum............
Can I see a pic of it please?
