Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Nite & morning Dot,
Getting there, the surgery to the R ankle was done in about 90 minutes.
Came out of sleepyness in the recovery area & within 5 mins was shivering, nurse quickly added an additional blanket & a hose to blow warm air around me... all fine after that. Have a large boot covering toes to knee & crutches - to the elbow type - & the only problem is after having the leg raised whist seated then lowering it to get ready to move... considerable pain around the foot for about 2 mins before am able to get out of the chair & shuffle around. Think maybe it's blood flowing back to the lowered foot. Not nice but it doesn't last very long.
See the surgeon again on 28th.
Supposed to keep the boot on for 6 weeks!!!
Now have a plastic chair in the shower & another outside the door for boot to rest on whilst I sit in the shower (:o)) with a hand towel over it to keep water away. Fortunately this shower can be used with a hand piece... so much easier for my situation.

Are you able to throw your leg over with the cast being so heavy?

Dot, I hope Brian has a fun time at the vets. Do they give you a lolly pop if Brian behaves? We had a vet do that once xxxx
Had a nice sleep in today followed by setting up our stall. Had to negotiate a different spot as I wasn't happy to stay where they had put me. All good now.
Tonight, we had a BBQ dinner put on by the lapidary club that is running the show, with all money going to charity. Good food and enjoyable night.
Brian didn't get to the vet today, they rang to say short of staff and make it Monday. Brian is very good at the vets, he just lays on the table until the thermometer gets near Have done absolutely nothing today apart from ringing a dear friend of mine in Melb. He was my 1st real boyfriend, he rings every now and again but not for the past year. I always send a happy birthday and Christmas text and he didn't reply to either so I rang him to find out what was wrong. I rang him after Xmas and he sounded strange but I thought he had had a big Xmas and thought no more about it until today. When I rang I asked if he got my text for his birthday (yesterday) he said yes but each Q I asked him he replied yes, that did it I told him to stop F'ng me about and tell me what the trouble was. Very hard to understand him very well so I asked the Q's and he just had to answer yes or no, Turns out he has a brain tumour and is in some sort of care, he did tell me but I couldn't make what he was saying out so I left it. Rang a couple of hospital type places but no luck so I will have to keep looking. Another old friend that has cancer (lung) went to school with him is also on a time limit. Really does make you realize, how little time we have , so lets get cooking. Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Norman x

Dot, keep saving your strength for another day and keep smiling xxxx
Had a slow day selling at Armidale. It was sunny but the crowds were very thin and I don't mean thin like in well built.
Tonight the lapidary club put on a roast dinner and cent auction. I won some dinosaur poo and a bucket of petrified wood to add to my collection of weird things.
Been a long day and more tomorrow.
night all xxx

Today we had not one sale, but we had a ball with the mucking around of the club members.
I had a lady call by yesterday who told me that she was a glassie in a previous life and would like to sell her fancy fusing glass. We asked a few questions and were planning to visit her at home on Monday. She had other ideas overnight, so she arrived at the festival with her car boot loaded up with the well packed glass. She had a lot more than I expected, but her price was about a third of what I am paying now. So I gave her the agreed grand and left his nibs to pack it safely into the boot of the patrol.
Once the festival was closed, we then had quite a jigsaw puzzle to get all of my stock to safely fit into the patrol, around the ton of glass.
Now we are both totally stuffed,

What !! not one sale Deborah, that is one of the reasons G stopped going to markets etc, people would pick stuff up and ooo and rrr over the things but that was it most of the time. Difference between SA market and the big Flemington (Melb) market where a friend of my sisters put one of G's bigger pieces on her table it was sold within 15 minutes for the full price of $350. G let the lady have the proceeds because she sold it and the costs of a table there are so expensive. Only did washing today and re potted a couple of plants
I am pleased about the Labor win because that means we get the V*'s back here again woo hoo. . Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x Ray & Joy x
