Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot I had good enough sales on Saturday, so not even worried about a negative day. Not unusual for this town. ;) xxxx

Today we did a few van repairs, had a trip to the hammer shop for parts and now we are ready to continue on our merry way tomorrow.

Hope you have a good trip home Deborah. Next door had their reinforcing wire delivered today( right on our driveway) Lucky the bus isn't home. The neighbour came over and apologised but he had told the delivery people where to put it BUT who takes any notice these days? Looks like their back yard will be 99% concrete and the front yard may have some fake grass roughly 3 x 3 mts Gunna be a hot box for sure. Brian's vet trip, he has lost a bit of weight but not too bad. His continual ear woes have re surfaced so back to drops, he was awarded a greenies treat  Now how utterly stupid is this... Appointment at 2pm, sign on Vet door says, On arrival ring the clinic to say you are here but stay in side your car and we shall come to you. OK no mobile with us so G knocks on the door and is told to wait outside and vet will be with you in a few minutes. BS I say, so Brian on my knee we 3 sat on the bench outside the clinic door. Vet came out and I started with "What is this bull shit?" G and I have been triple vaxed and we have our masks on." Then she says come into room one BUT G can not come in with you. Then the ear swab was mentioned and I asked if I was going to be charged for that as Ross never charged for that because it is an ongoing thing, she gets the office manager to come in and told me by Ross not charging he was breaking the law or (company policy) anyway by the time I left I was well and truly peed off and so I sent an email to the so called "company" asking for someone with authority to ring me as I have a few complaints about their new payments and procedures. Seems it is OK to leave your animal in a hot car (if no air con) while you wait to be seen outside in the heat. plus their prices for meds is nearly triple than on line. No wonder people have trouble with vet fees. End of rant :D Looking forward to the V8's . Off to bed now. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks and Mr Major x x :D :D

Dot, sounds like time to find another vet mate. Hope there is some choice in your area. xxxx

Had a safe trip to Tamworth and found the paceway quite easily. It's well set out and has all that we need. It is very dusty and smelly, so probably not the best place for us with our allergies. A positive was that His nibs was able to watch some pacing and trotting time trials later this afternoon.

We found the place to replace the foam in our van cushions and were very happy with the job. The ladies took well over an hour to replace the foam and make it into the sloping shape, with a lot of wadding to completely fill the fabric. They both worked past their closing time and then only charged us $100. Happy campers here.

Tomorrow will be a rest day and a few op shops to visit, after a decent sleep in.

Deborah they are all the same, well at least 99% are. The old days have gone just the same as the old GP's. As long as you had a good time away Deborah is all that matters. Dug up some kangaroo plants and planted them out in other places. Real estate friend of ours rang and asked if we wanted to sell the block and maybe the house. wow where did that come from? told him sell 2 for the price of one???? Gave both us and him to think about. Air con people coming tomorrow for quote. . Might head out after he has been and go looking at houses in surrounding areas to get ideas for what is available.. Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bobr x :D

"tanks" here---Dot,
You could get a list of houses for sale in your area of choice from the google thingo on the web/net thingo on your computer. The listing of houses for sale saves a lot of driving around to find places. It also gives you an idea of the asking prices and usually photos of the inside floor plan and outside condition.

Dot, the emotional , physical and monetary costs in moving are very scary. Certainly do some research, but even stamp duty and legal fees combined are a terrifying thought. xxxx

We had another good day in Tamworth. Took his nibs watch to a jeweller, who has done repairs for us before. It needed to have a pin replacement in the band. She looked at it and suggested several pins replaced with stronger pins would be the way to go. Be ready Friday. When we explained that we are heading home tomorrow, she offered to have it done before 10am tomoz. She rang at 4pm, to say come and get it. After replacing 7 pins, she only charged us $35. Very happy with that.

Heading home tomoz.

Shirley have you used those new balls yet?
Tanks, the trouble with looking on the real estate online they don't give the prices, I go into the agents and get them to write the price on the places that I may like to look at but always give them a false phone number
Deborah, I would pay those fees with pleasure to get out of this town. I sold my place in NZ to my lawyer   It was his love shack  hence not much in the way of fees and I did the walk in walk out, only took my 4 dobermans 1 cat and 2 suitcases. . Might do that here. You got good service with the watch repairer for sure. The air con guy came right on time today, he was amazed that out present unit was still going at 25 yrs old. He checked all the tubing in the ceiling and they also are in tip top shape so no need to replace them, he would install a baffle thing in one of the tubes and also a bigger sucking out vent thing. He said with the new unit you would get a humming noise with the smaller exit thing. He confirmed the new models are so much cheaper to run and also quieter. Not pushy at all and was all to happy to sit and chat about politics, lith batteries, real estate, kids, cats  We decided the 2 better ones are Mitsubishi and LG so he left us with all the info, sizes etc. Price $6k same price we paid 25 yrs ago :o Have another mob coming next week so will see how they do. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert not Bob x :D

Dot, George is right. Stick with the shitsubitchi.. You know they did it so well last time. Hope you find the ideal love shack for you this time too. ;) xxxx

We had a pretty good trip home, with only one snag. The roads just North of Singleton were getting so much water running across them, that it looked like it would have to be closed, just like it was when we headed North a fortnight ago. You would think that this patch of road is so obviously a flooding risk, that the gov would pull their fingers out and do something about it. How hard is it to build some decent drainage and pout in some very tall kerb and guttering?

We did the usual car ballet to get the van almost back into it's spot. Need to wind the awning out to get it clean before next trip. My red rav pulls the van into the spot and his patrol gets put away under the verandah/carport. He sends me away, as soon as the van is in site, so that he can grumble and he thinks I don't hear him.
