Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

T1,

Counting the hours of darkness accurately had to wait until the clock was invented…
The nearest thing before that was an Hour Candle, with marks down the shaft. Usually counted about 4~5 hours.
A bit unreliable, as any breeze would see the hours rush by!
Also varied with the density & quality of the wax… 🤔
… and the accuracy of the person marking the candle… 🙄

Come to think about it, the Hour Candle was mostly guesswork. 🤭😳

If a deaf person has to go to court,
is it still a "hearing"?

Yes, even if everyone in the court was deaf .... but it may have the "g" dropped off and hyphen between the R and the I to make it read hear - in (this room) the B/S will flow and fact mixed with fiction creates a story we are here to sort out if we can .... after attending some of the most serious court cases anyone could be put through, true and fact have very little to do with the outcome ..... The best B/S artist legal team wins every time

Sorry, anything to do with court is a tad close to the bone

Why is it that you can “put in your two cents worth”, but only get “a penny for your thoughts”?
Where does the other penny go? GST?

In days gone by, people cared about what you thought and placed some value on it, these days you have to pay double (plus inflation) just to put your opinion across, whether it is heeded or not ......?

How'd I go

In the National Sheepdog Trials of 1986,
how many were found guilty?
