Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you got some sunshine down there yet? xxxx
Thanks Jon, we did use that one for a while, but if the specialist recommended it, that's what he will use and send me to the debt collectors to pay for it!
Shirley, you wasted an almost sunny day by sending those balls down badly?
You may not get the chance again for a while, if the weatherman is right. Hope they start to get used to you soon.
Chiro today was very helpful, so hopefully the next couple of weekends standing at my stall will be ok.
The van has had it's last bits packed in for today. The fridge is almost completely packed and we should get away fairly early. The freeway is not the worry, but the weatherman has not left us feeling confident. The sooner we land in Sydney, the better.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Went to sleep in the chair last night . Really tired today. Some more concrete done next door but that is only 1/3 done. New TV arriving on Monday and new air con next Thursday. With the TV they say the set up instructions are on the screen when turned on, hope so is all I can say.
A bit chilly again tonight so air con may be on for a couple of hrs. Did some washing today but left it on the line as the dew had come in . Last night I tried doing golden syrup dumplings, from the fb page and it was the same recipe as scones, nah my caramel dumplings are better, G went to physio today and came back with a bag of limes of which I know what to do with them. Going to make the bed now and also saying goodnight everyone x
Goodnight NC George, hope you had a great day x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Gee Dot, I would happily swap your cold weather for our everlasting rain events. Enjoy snuggling in for a long sleep there mate xxxx
Shirley, it looked like a real sea mist over the lake early this morning. Good decision to miss the bowls too. You stayed dry.
We had a reasonably early start and headed off before the super heavy rain hit. The only time that the rain was really heavy, was when we had to stop at the Hawkesbury River. The gutters were flowing so fast and deep that our shoes and feet were totally soaked as we climbed out of the car. We had to stop for a wee break, but it was a long break while we waited for the rain to ease just a tiny bit. Once past the Hawkesbury bridge, the rain became much calmer and from then, we had a better drive through the West end of Sydney. It has really changed so much in this area. There are lots of buildings where once were farms and the whole place does not feel anything like it did when we lived in the area 17 years ago...Cher was right, you can't turn back time.
It started to rain as we were setting up the van and there were times that we just came into the van and waited for it to ease. That made for a long set up, but we are settled in now and hoping that the worst of the rain has passed (the weather man said it will go tonight). Tomorrow we will have a long sleep in and the go set up the stall and see what the weather can throw at us.

"tanks" here---Dot,
you posted "a bag of limes of which I know what to do with them."
OK, what do you do with them other than like I do, and that is put them in a plastic bag and take them to Vinnies for free give-aways to the passing trade.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
The best thing to do with limes, is cut them into wedges and jam it in the neck of a Corona or three.
Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
No nap tonight Dot xxxx
Limes, delicious in marmalade, great on fish, key lime pie and in any fancy drink that you like.
We have just finished setting up our wares at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium. This is a huge basketball complex, in the West of Sydney. We have seen a few roads closed due to flooding, that doesn't surprise us, with the extreme amounts of rain that we have had.
Our caravan site is an even worse quagmire, due to the vast amounts of heavy rain that we had overnight. Today the rain was very minimal. so there's hope for the customers to still want to come over the weekend.
I need an early night, due to the demand for an early start, so night all xxx
