Ray I got told any Suzuki dealer can plug in & update the maps to the last edition at a cost of over $100.
I'll stick to what I have.
To be honest I don't think any of the NAME GPS units are as good as the cheap Chinese units.
Easy to update yourself.
Can use as a radio.
Can use it as a reverse view camera display.
Can use as a USB music player.
Can play various games on it. (included)
Will give speed warnings. (school crossings, town limits etc)
Shows current vehicle speed.
Can be used as a photo display unit.
etc etc.
The name ones lock them down to only do one thing.

I doubt the link to the one I bought some 7 or 8 years ago would still be there but I'll try finding a similar one George.
I'll post the link here when I do!
PS. it's based on the Windows CE background & can run all sorts of external downloaded apps.
I actually run the "speedo" when in the houseboat.

Like this one but mine is 7" screen. I paid about $100 but of course some time ago.

No need for a GPS, Margaret tells me where to go without me even asking  But seriously, Google maps on the phone or laptop, need to over ride what the lady says every so often because she seems to think that back streets are fine and 50 mtrs shorter than the long way, but generally she gets it right.

Should always choose quickest route, not shortest.

We mainly want the truck route thingy when out and about in big towns and bridges etc in smaller out of the way places

In one reasonably large town we wanted to get to the Info Centre. Googled it, entered address into Garmin and set off.
200m from our destination we came to an underpass — 2.3m clearance — driving 3.6m high Girt… towing car on trailer.
Had to reverse about 100m and drive 200m the wrong way down a one-way street to go around the underpass to the other side!
Not happy, Jan!!
Regards & God bless,

Seymour is a great spot for that, even Miss Google tried to send us under the low bridge in the Hino ..... fortunately spotted the problem before we were committed to the right turn and managed to carry on straight to the road that goes across a level crossing, the truck route that we's asked Miss Google to direct us on
