Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

  What? All the night spots of Mannum or Strathalbyn. Regardless, you will probably get chucked out at closing time of maybe 10pm.

See, FOMO.

Dave goes to Strath at dark to have good times.... after a few frothies, Dave says to Nigel. "'eh Nige, let's get down to Mannum and rock on there too."

Dot, you have a good time escaping from this madness xxxx

Ray, all the important things are well above floor level. Kilns are on heavy metal stands, 30 inches above the ground. Controllers are on top of the kiln and all power points are higher again. I think I should be right. The big kiln weighs 80 kilograms, so it would take an avalanche to move it I reckon.

The sun came out today, amazing. The ground is already starting to feel less soggy. Interesting to note where all the tide marks are, by looking around at locals fences. We got out of this big flood relatively well. The lake is still rising and falling with the tide and it is still coming up quite high and fully covering our jetty. Not really a problem and as the rain stops, the lake will fall. Tomorrow the prediction is for sunshine and huge winds. Honestly, I don't know which is worse, rain or wind? It will be cold.

Stay warm and dry out there,
night all xxx

Stay warm Deborah.

We're burning through the wood pile. We'll run out in about 3 weeks if that.

. We were not permitted club entry because they didn't like my pussy so we came home. I had a really good nights sleep, woke x 2 to visit the loo and a orange juice top up. Didn't even watch the BOB or the tennis. I had been waiting for the Personal Assistant to my hand surgeon to ring me for the past week with no return calls so this arvo I rang the main switchboard and read the riot act about this PA. I think they contacted her and a happy voice came on with "I was about to call you blah blah" told her it was a bad advertisement for the practice etc. Anyway she told me the surg was going on hols from the 22nd so I said how he told me I would be done within 2 weeks, so I pushed it. So guess who is booked in for the 21st July??? yep me me me. Also told this girl that I would like to be admitted the night before because I can't get there so early in the morning  She told me she would get back to me but yep you guessed it NO call back but I will be there the night before either way. Surgeon not charging me the gap and next is the gas lady to get her to drop the gap...Bugger these little upstart office people (girls) Any way I am now about to have a tipple of Baileys, a hot shower, ring my NZ M8 then hit the sack to watch the Boys. So goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Rossp x :D

Dot, that's good news about your surgery. Amazing what a little bit of "angry pensioner" can do. Well done. xxxx

I am staying warm, but heck it's not the most warm place on the planet right now. I have had to dig out some very old clothes to keep warm. I just cannot remember the coast being so cold in the last 18 years.. Anyway, all is good. The sun came out yesterday, but clouds were up there as well. Today it was brilliant sunshine and lovely blue sky too. Usually on this sort of day, the lake would look a lovely deep blue. Today, it was just a muddy brown. Not lovely at all. I hate to think what would be lurking just below the surface, and that's not even thinking about the hidden sharks.

Our son has told us that boating is prohibited on the Nepean River (at Penrith) because of the amount of flotsam and debris from the March floods and now they are getting even more floating things in the river from the last week. They won't be able to use the river for skiing for a very long time now.

The kiln surprise was not a good one. While the glass was bending over a bowl shape, it split across the middle. What was left was a fringe of glass, surrounding a great big hole. I had the best hammer therapy yet. Those pieces are back getting flattened out and rejoined, ready for another bending. Tomorrow will tell.

sweet dreams xxx
Deborah
