Just set up camp at Policeman's Paddock on the banks of the Murray near Rutherglen. Planning to stay here till we head over to Whitfield on Tuesday.
Cheers

Re: On the banks of the Murray
Any photos? We are heading down that way on Tuesday, still trying figure out where to camp, that spot at Hume Weir looked good, but it Policemans Flats is a better spot we might head there instead, depending on what Brad and Marie think of the idea as we may be loosely travelling together, as in, over night at the same places. Being closer to Rutherglen would be a plus for sure.

Looks good, Google maps doesn't know where Police Paddocks is so, is it east or west of Howlong?

Travelling from Rutherglen past All Saints and St Leonards Wineries along the Up River Road, drive for approximately 7Km. Turn left into Police Paddocks.

Re: On the banks of the Murray
Thankyou George, Camps 4 gave me Lat and Long but that was some where near Cowra
They say it's just off Gooramadda Rd, but that looks more like it's off Up River Rd. Nice and close to Rutherglen, I'll have to see what Brad thinks about it
Might be time to update the Camps book, or get one of the medicine things and an app..... Margaret territory me thinks, still coming to grips with the wind up laptop
a big step from the steam driven one

We were at Police Paddocks a few weeks ago, good spot, less than 1km of dirt road. Local Yahoos at the weekend, nice and close to Rutherglen, but not a walk

I know this is gunna sound silly, but is it at the end of Police Paddocks Rd or is it a track that turns off partway down?

AT point B turn 90 degrees left, campground starts there, but better places (IMHO) 500m further on.

We were there a fortnight ago lovely spot though look out for sleepers! saw a car carried out on a tilt tray, a Good size limb landed in the middle of it, luckily no one hurt just the car. Looks like the branch in front of your car that was the culprit.
