Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Its 14° heading for 22. The man says its going to rain soon, but didn't say how much. We spent a fair bit of yesty cleaning wooden slat blinds ands windows. Not something that you would want to make a career out of. Will be back onto trying to fix the slideout pivot in the Winny today. I don't think it's going to be a fun job. Space is very limited. Have a great week everybody. Safe travels all the lucky ones that are out and about.
Cheers

Re: Good morning daily
Woke this morning with a doggy tongue in my ear.
She wanted to go outside urgently.
Checked our weather station… THREE degrees outside!
So I consulted the little man in my phone… agreed with weather station, and forecast for today is a max of 10…
Looks like another Netflix day…

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning 14c , sunshinning, looks like a pleasant day ahead, although rain is predicted later this arvo.
Teachers' extra day off, kids back to school tomorrow, so no doubt they will drop in later.
Youngest Daniel 7, lost his name labelled jacket at the primary school last term never to be seen again, it was only a couple of weeks old & eldest Nathan also lost his Adidas jacket at the high school well worn, I'd even repaired the cuff on one sleeve never to be seen again, sad situation that obviously been stolen by other students, Nathan's was also labelled with his name.

Friend from bowls recently returned from visiting her daughter in England, when I asked her did she go to the Queen's jubilee celebration, she told me heck no, London is full of Covid to risky, only attended the celebrations in the village where she was staying.

Re: Good morning daily
Made a fire in the Chiminea using only kindling for its first 2 hr burn in .... not sure if it was the running backwards and forwards to get more sticks from heap of pruning wood out on the back patio that warmed me up, but Margaret said she could feel the warmth and enjoyed the open flame fire effect you don't get with a glass door over the hole.
Bigger sticks tonight, so maybe less fuel gathering and more enjoying the open fire and warm from the clay pot. It really does need some method of stopping the cold air rushing in or at least restricting the warmed air from escaping ..... the project continues

T1, I'm a bit disappointed really. I would have thought that one of the blokes that was instrumental in starting the renowned men's cooking competitions many years ago, would have a plain and simple choofer. I don't know what the world is coming to.

Cheers

I can confirm. 1984. In Sweden, above the Arctic circle with a tent and sleeping bag. Got warmer running around collecting twigs and the actual smoldering "fire". Cheese for dinner that night.not sure if it was the running backwards and forwards to get more sticks from heap of pruning wood out on the back patio that warmed me up,

Re: Good morning daily
Ummm...... after blackening the under side of the roof in the back patio with my "Iron Man" fire made from 4 truck drums to make an upper and lower fire chamber with a hole cut in the bottom drum to create a door, hinged with a catch to hold it shut, it was a store bought or nothingsupersparky wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 12:01 pm T1, I'm a bit disappointed really. The brake drum fire work excellent, cooking on the top worked well, the problem was the fire couldn't be seen with the door shut so the one in charge of all things, insisted that it be left open, then it smoked and that was what blacked the underside of the patio ..... but it was my boggie fire creation that got the blame
Just waiting for this one to blacken under the front patio roof and all fires will be banned
