We have just received a severe whether warning for Degilbo.
There is about 70mm in the gauge at the moment.

Re: Good morning daily
Yesterday was sunny all day, finally got to test and fix the second half of the solar set up on another house boat that someone else had fitted. By the time I finished it the sun angle wasn't the best and two of the 4 panels in the second half of the system were in shade. Had planned to do a drive by and check how it was performing this morning ...... it's not actually raining at the moment, but it can't be too far off ..... and the wind is straight off snow by the feel of it, hate the cold .....

T1,
I’m sure you can think of something to justify a day in the shed, which would be acceptable to Margaret.

Re: Good morning daily
Trying to resurrect 4 x 200Ah "Narada" brand AGM batteries that were fitted to a houseboat approx. 4 mths ago. They were in series to make a 48v battery but they stopped holding an over night load after a few mths. Needless to say, the supplier and installer are "unavailable" so in frustration he asked if we could test and diagnose if any of the batteries were faulty.
They have been on charge since Monday afternoon but each day the terminal voltage has been lower, even though there is a constant 10 amps going in across all 4 batteries.
Today I'm trying to charge them individually, then load test them with a 10 amp load heater element in the garbage tin full of water.
It took 3 hrs this morning at a 20 amp charge rate to get the first battery up to 14.8v, 1 hrs rest and it was back to 13.4v and it has been on the 10 amp load now for 1 hr and down to 12.59v so far ..... who knows, they are certainly heavy enough to be 200 AH, so maybe they are just sulphated .....

T1,
Did you check that the owner put a shilling in the meter?

Good morning everyone.
The rain stopped around 3pm yesterday...I had 78mm in the gauge...others had over 100mm.The usual roads that flood have, and the road to Maryborough is also closed
So I had more than enough reasons to do bugga all
Its a good thing I keep a load of timber undercover, the boss is happy when the house is warm.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. We only had 15mm or so rain, and that's mostly gone now. The gale force winds backed off a bit overnight but are picking up speed again. Glad to hear you are safe and dry Bernie.
I'm off to the cardio docs this morn for some more tests, then might catch up with some of our Melbourne based gkids before they fly home tonight.
Try to stay safe and dry everybody, especially those that are out and about.

"tanks" here---
Hello and good morning folks,
13.5c outside and nothing much else to report. The rescue chopper was overhead last night for a stop at the hospital. I may have some news later when normal (non-mines) people wake up.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning All. Yesterday, Julie was asked, by the company she works for, if she would consider working in Abu Dhabi for two months in order to get the staff there up to speed. A week or two and return flights for myself are included and it looks like she may be departing around the end of August. I am not looking forward to having to care for myself for approx 6 weeks.
