Nicknames, I reckon there are some great ones out there

Post by T1 Terry »

From another forum, but worth using to kickstart a new thread

Wicket Keeper - puts on gloves and stands back
Harvey Norman - 3 years no interest
Sensor Light - only works if someone walks past
Noodles - thinks all jobs take 2 minutes
Blister - appears when the hard work is done
Showbag - full of shit
Lantern - not very bright and has to be carried
Deck Chair - always folds under pressure
Perth - 3 hours behind everyone else
G-spot - you can never find him
Bushranger - holds everyone up
Wheelbarrow - only works when he's pushed
Limo - carries about 8 people
Cordless - charges all night but only works for 2 hours
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves

Very good T1, I had a few chuckles as I scrolled through that list. I reckon I used to work with some of those blokes back in the day.

Hmmm, that list is a worry, don't show it to Rita. I know she would class me as a showbag, g-spot , bush ranger, P.I.T.A. and cordless.
Apart from those I think I'm pretty good

“Discount”: always knocking off (time or stuff — applies to both). 🤔

Are yes, heard that one a few times

Havachat - Spent most of their time talking and stopping others from working

Siri or The Oracle - Knowledgeable on any topic that comes up in general conversation

Casanova or Passionate fingers - F'd everything they touched

Snapper - Would fly off the handle with the least provocation ... including being called snapper

Rusty - An older worker returned to the job of their youth, they still know the basics but take forever

I used to know a bloke who's nickname was Cadabra. Took me a while to realise it was short for Abracadabra. Just mention it to him and 'it' would turn up at a drastically reduced price. Took us a while to figure out it could also have been 'crowbar' or 'hydraulic'.

One bloke we called FIG JAM which was short for:
F*ck I’m Good - Just Ask Me.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Another one I remembered

Snake - If it looked like a difficult job he would be no where to be seen, but his head popped up when the easy jobs where being handed out
