Actually, all of it, including the bus itself, illegal performance modification  .... but a multi motor EV powered bus ...... now that would be hard to actually prove it was over powered, simply add a program into the VFD (variable frequency drive) that reduces the power and select that any time an official wants to test it ;) 8-) Can you imagine a motorhome with the equivalent power to weight of two tesla motors driving it .... I've one of those motors now, big bus as a 4 x 4 perhaps with a second unit up front?
These are the same motors as the land speed record electric bike has in it and the motors used for the electric Pikes Peak champion many yrs in a row now :D
I was going to put it in the kombi, till I discovered it could produced the equivalent of a blown big block in regards to torque and Kw output .... might have been a bit much for the kombi

We saw a bus very similar to that a few years back. It had the front clip from a 48 Ford with a V8 Ford diesel and auto. The back part was mainly a 95 Coaster import with Cadillac bullet tail lights. It took a bit of working out what it really was. Sure looked cool though. :D
T1, I reckon maybe you would need to do some serious upgrades to the kombi suspension before you make it go harder. Kombis that don't handle like a block of flats on roller-skates are a rarity.

T1 Terry I didn't realised you worked at Volkswagen a few years ago

David wasn't there a song years ago, about a guy taking bits & pieces from assembly line and building something like

Have a good day

The term is, "Handles like a dog on lino" saw that sign written on the rear bumper of a "Rat" splitty at a Valla show and shine day in the main street of Nambucca Heads https://nambuccavalley.com.au/volkswagen-spectacular/ the other thing written across the back was "what do you mean? It is finished"

Haha. I know the guy that owns that ratty. He lives on the GC. When you think about it, the only VW that handles any good is a Porsche.

Dave,
You reckon if I grafted a Kombi body onto a Porsche chassis it’d handle corners better? 😳😁

Hmmmm…
If you then swapped the flat four for a 7 litre V8…
I reckon you’d have a Q-car fit for Bathurst!
😁😁😁
