Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning 16c N/W wind reckons temperature will reach 23c, hope it does been cool the last couple of days, rained overnight.

Bruce is very pleased with his eyes, told on Tuesday he has 20/20 vision, he'll have them tested in10 days & will get a script for reading glasses, told "buy a pair from a chemist if you need them," he has to have 6 monthly check ups for the Glaucoma & a drop each night before bed. The reason he had the problem with the second eye after surgery was that the cataract was more dense & the specialist told us more difficult to remove & that was his better eye before surgery.

Better weekend predicted weather wise, fingers crossed.
Shirley & Bruce.

Cousin has recently had stents put in both eyes for glaucoma- no more drops.

sHIRLEY, HE MAY find that he does not need reading glasses. Give it time before rushing in and if needed the chemist $15 lot are good.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

Well what a day it was!
I had a few visitors yesterday!
Plenty of laughs & some wild stories!
Dot & George rolled up with Jon-D in tow with some good ol' cheese cake! (thankyou D&G!) T1 & Marg popped in as well in between their work commitments.
Later in the evening Jon-D & Brian (Homeless) rolled up for some chatter & socializing.
Tonight I think there might be another gathering on the boat before Jon-D heads off tomorrow morn to pick up his family for their trip Westwards.
After all these years it was so good to finally meet & greet Jon.
Thanks folks!

Not there now :D The T1 Lithium high rise platform is still assembled though, do you need to borrow it just in case the water level gets too high to get on your boat?

T1 Terry
Just had another look at the official T1 high work platform. I would be dismantling that and hiding it. You never know, one of us forumites might be tempted to use it, if it is laying about in the yard.
I thought you had some decent scaffold?
Yeah ...(with a rise in the voice at the end) Can't you see it truckie strapped on the roof of the Pantec on the back of the Ford Trader? We have a second and third one and did have a brief thought of stacking them one on top of the other ..... but we were back to the same problem, we didn't have a ladder that reached that high, the truck roof is 5 mtrs from the ground and out longest ladder is 4 mtrs, add the required lean to the ladder and we were more than 1.5mtrs short ... you aren't allowed to use the top two rungs of the ladder to climb or stand on .... that's a big step going up or down
It does look dodgie, but it was also anchored to the trailer as well as the truck, so not quite as unsafe as it looked :D

Wasted yesterday morning in a despute over payment and retention of goods, a wasted morning, you just know it isn't going to go well when the other party all have pin point pupils and are acting aggressively while unsteady on their feet ....... maybe a day or two might settle things down a bit.

Spent the afternoon trying not to fall off the roof of a houseboat out on the river itself about 30km up stream. The wind was causing the boat to snap change direction as it reached the extent of the mooring ropes and sprung back ..... but at least I got one lot of railing up, if the wind drops and the rain clears off, hopefully I'll get the second lot up there today, doubt I'll get any solar panels up there, but I might get the wiring installed ......

Late morning all here.

Ensconced at T1's next to Jimni and a well educated Werribee dog. :-)
Great to catch up with Brian, Bruce, Margaret and Terry. Weather is like Melbourne. Windy, wet, sunny, nice repeating. Of to Adelaide tomorrow.
