Re: Best tribute to QE2
Today’s protest by aboriginals on the official day of mourning for QEII was wrong on many fronts. Great disrespect for a deceased person.
They blame her for colonialism, genocide and whatever else they could think of.
They claim we can’t show pictures of, or mention the names of, deceased aboriginals out of respect for the dead. But it’s OK if they show images & name deceased relatives when protesting.
Double standard.
If they think it’s OK to blame the late Queen for the sins of her forbears of 200 years ago, would the protesters be OK with being arrested for the murder of farmers in the 1800s?

"tanks" here---
I agree with you Ray.
Having some almost naked fat painted up part aboriginals prancing around in front of the Gov General and the Prime Minister of the country is not appropriate for that event.
I did notice that they did not proceed into a smoking ceremony.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

THERE IS A TIME AND A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING !!
The memorial to our deceased Queen was not the time or the place.

Re: Best tribute to QE2
I find it ridiculous how we have statements this is " so & so country & we thank the ancestors passed & present etc., " at nearly every event held these days, many of the agitators behind this movement are folk who identify as Aboriginal,"Coming from so & so country," even on our local news of a night.
We are one, we are many, time to move on.

Re: Best tribute to QE2
I don't plan to go down the same path as other forums where I give members a week's suspension, or lock threads or remove posts ...... I'll just close down the forum is this racial crap continues ... Farcebook is the place for that sort of rubbish, not here.
I've tried playing "devils advocate" I've suffered a sh*tte load of PM's and emails over the whole lot and I have no plans to put up with it any more.
So, either someone stands up and takes on the forum so I don't have to put up with this sh*tte ..... it stops now ...... or the forum ceases to exist ....
If the rest of them membership still wants to keep this forum going, maybe take up the fight and tell the sh*tte stirrers to pull their heads in ........
