Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Thank you Keith. Interesting to see even the ADF is getting involved with electric vehicles, including an eBushmaster .... now they can really sneak up on them and blast the shitte out of them ;)
I guess the next logical step will be remote controlled front line assault vehicles for the troops to follow behind, no need for hatch opening, just service panels, and the ability to see in all directions and all light spectrums to help detect hidden explosive devices as well as snipers and those waiting to launch an attack .... a mortar launch could be pin pointed as it was set off and a shot dropped on the launch site before a second mortar could be launched, the same with snipers etc .... a war fort by remote control on the front line might be closer than we think ....

In reality War by Remote Control has been happening for years.
The Generals/Admirals certainly do not get anywhere near the death zones.
The orders come from the top and get passed down the communication channels.
As we got more advanced it went from paper and couriers to radio, then to electronics, and it's still evolving.

The advancement of technology is already being applied, a good example is the usage of drones in Ukraine, so I suppose it won't be long before it is done in a similar way you described, but with much heavier equipment and fewer humans at the front of the battle.

Musk – also the CEO of Tesla – told workers at the electric car maker in June that working remotely would no longer be acceptable.
hhmmmm. Once the worker assembled the car in the lounge-room, how did the s/he get it out onto the street?

It's a bit of a laugh, he expects the world to buy his cars online, but his office staff can't work online from home ..... his ruthless approach on culling the workforce at Twitter might have backfire on him as well with people leaving without being laid off .... he best be careful, his Tesla staff may start doing the same thing. The workplace pre-pandemic where everyone was scared of loosing their job is no more, now it's the bosses scared of loosing their workforce and Elon needs to catch up with the way the worker market place operates now ......
