Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Peter,
Even if you could afford the top-rated load version, once you hooked up your fiver, filled the water tank, packed your clothes, food and etceteras on board, you’ll probably be looking at a max range of 150km.
Then you’ll have to plug it in to the nearest tree, cause you’ll be a long way from the nearest charging station!
😳
… or look for a homestead with a very long extension cord and somewhere to plug it in for a day or two.

Electric Motorhomes MIGHT be available in Europe in the next decade, but over there 150km puts you in the next country — or the one beyond it. And every p!ssfart little town has a couple of charging stations.
Where’s the nearest one to you?
Our gummint still has a long way to go with EV support before charging stations are as common as service stations serving petrol and diesel.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Morning one and all.
I stepped outside nuffin duty's for a bit yesterday...the solar is now back on the roof :D
I rounded up three neighbor's and it took about one minute to do the task at hand, then about a hour later they left....I got all the "gos"
Didn't get to the ride on, but did mow the back yard with the push mower...two of the locals offered their ride on to me if I need :) ;) We had another goanna wander through yesterday... smaller than "Anna" by about a third .
Also seen a Peacock on my walk, plus could hear others in the bush.
Keep safe out there.
Bernie.

I think Peter is planning on building a motorhome, not dragging the 5'er any more.
As far as finding somewhere to plug in, there is this new fangled idea where they turn sunlight in to electricity ..... sounds crazy eh ..... I wonder when they'll develop the thingy that changes sun light into diesel or petrol ..... nah, fuel stations have been everywhere you could possibly need one since time began, they'll never get sparkitricity stations for electric vehicles within driving distance ......

A solution to EV tugs and Motor Homes
A 3kva generator
Pull up for the day in any bush camp of choice, the same as you used to do when you used an ICE tug, drag out the genni, and connect it where ever needed.
Same as you used to do in the "old Days", but with a slightly bigger genni than a honda 2 ( for the extra power required for a quicker charge)
Check the van's power from the solar that's been charging the house batteries when you were driving during the day. Same as before EV's
Viola, after a few hours of running you have a fully or partly recharged EV.
Of course, you'd consider the other campers there and not run the genni all night.
And as an extra, the unused battery power from the van can be used to transfer, by a suitable unit, power to the EV's battery in an emergency of low battery.

T1,
They developed the sunlight-to-diesel system AGES ago!
Sun fell on plants which grew bigger; dinosaurs ate the plants; dinosaurs wiped out by meteor strike, fell down & got covered with dirt, decomposed and VOILA!
Instant diesel!!
After humans came along we drilled holes in the dirt to get to it. Sold the rougher stuff as diesel and boiled it a bit to make petrol.
Simples! 😁
