Good morning everyone. Its 26° here on the GC heading for 27, so the man says. No rain here yet. It's coming Monday, allegedly. Took the gkids to the speedway last night. We had a good night with some great racing. I found those little connecting blocks that I was looking for, so I fixed that cupboard yesty. Already had the bacon and egg for brekky.
Have a top day everybody, no matter where you are or what you're doing.
Good morning daily

Back to work today as it has cooled off a bit from yesterday, still need the air con on in the office though, so it isn't actually cold
Tanks, I know a lot of Muslims and none of them are trouble makers or want to change the community they live in, but do like to help out where they can as a sort of thank you for the chance to have a life in a safe country. Sure, they have different religious beliefs to the main stream Aussie, they may dress differently, they eat different food but really it is just different recipes. The sweat dishes they make are, in my opinion, up there with the best when it comes to a box of sweats, and no one has ever said they wouldn't eat that shitte because it's Muslim food, instead the assortment box always ends up empty long before the Cadbury favourites. After partaking in a number of their "Name day" feasts is what one of my employees called it, their food in general is very nice, very filling, but very hard to not eat all that is served ..... which I discovered after the first time, means the host feels you were not fed well enough and returns with even more the second time ..... we certainly have a different view than the English view that it is impolite to not empty your plate.
There will always be radicals in every society, just look at the US riots because the orange man didn't win the election, and all the gun violence involving kids and schools and targeting gathering so a maximum kill count can be registered, Port Arthur is another closer to home, and idiots driving through crowded streets ...... Muslim's can't be singled out for that sort of behaviour ...... all the way back to the "Holy Wars" where the English attacked the Muslims in the name of "their god" No race or religion can claim they don't have a dark past or even present day cloud over their name .... we very recently had the death of a high up church leader that seemed to cast a blind eye to the wrong doings of those religious leads under him ......
If you don't want all English descendants heaped into the same group that performed all sorts of atrocities in the past, then you shouldn't heap any other group together and attempt to paint them all with the same brush as the saying goes .....

"tanks" here---Hey, read the first line of my posting.
-lots of reading here but a WA friend sent this to me.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Good morning daily
You obviously read it and must have agreed with it for you to post it on the forum to spread your point of view that aligned with the views of the person who sent it to you ..... I uphold the right for anyone to disagree with your point of view and I posted what I felt was a balanced rebuttal ......Keith Morris wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 1:48 pm "tanks" here---Hey, read the first line of my posting.

The amount of "completely out there" email rubbish I receive every day would really make a "hate speech" channel out of this forum, I'm not going to let it go down that path, so if anyone wants to put their hand up and take the forum over if they feel I'm doing the wrong thing ..... I'm only a PM away .......

Re: Good morning daily
When Son-&-Heir was working midnight to 0700 shifts early in his nursing career, he used to arrive home at 0745 and say, “Good afternoon.”
When he was heading off to work at 2300 he’d say, “Good morning. See you tonight.”
Confusing at first, but from his perspective he was correct.

So go for it, Dottie!!

Rained most of the night, and still..
Grrr.
Much else going on
unless you're a duck.
Keep safe.
