
Hi Dot, must be scary for your kiwi mate at the moment. Our daughter is currently somewhere in NZ. She hasn't sent any messages for a while, so we will just get told when she arrives home. Not very communicative. xxxx
Today was hot and windy. The wind blew up around lunch time and it certainly has helped to cool the joint.
This is what the piece looked like in the kiln yesterday This is the final product (or at least that's what I was hoping) Then the reality, someone has dropped the lace off their knickers Must have had it at too high heat for too long.
Oh well, back to the start. I cut off the tatty lace and put the red centre back in to flatten tonight. Had some good hammer therapy smashing the lace to bits. Tomorrow it will have some fresh lace added for a fuze firing and I will go from there.
I have looked at this bowl for a long time and hated the way it looked, so this is about me winning now, persistence pays.
