Ok will wind this up took the fridge out and set it up in the shed, power to the fridge but compressor not starting. Took the back cover off and no fuse all wires look ok. So just giving the old one a miss. Always thought it was 165 litre but is only 128 litre.

The space I have is around 510 mm wide with door open 90 degrees. Can fit about 1270 high. Have not been able to find a 240v fridge to fit in the width and around the 160/170 litre we would like. Would have been nice as I have 300 ah battery and a 2000w inverter.

Only thing I can find giving me around 165 litres and will fit is a 12v fridge so that looks like it. Cheers and thank you for your suggestions and advise.

Robert,

this might be to big.

Inverter compressor and quite cheap. I think it's the smallest inverter compressor available. Samsung don't have anything that small (these days)

Pete still miss by an inch have decided to just go to another 12v compressor model that will fit in and give us the capacity we wanted.

Cheers and thank you all Robert

Most of us stand the fridge out far enough for the door to be in the open space so there is no additional width required for the door to fit in the cavity available. The 50mm (2") the door intrudes into the free space is very soon just factored into normal operations and no longer noticed.

Well new fridge arrived yesterday not as it was ordered Sunday and sent from Melbourne on Monday. Unpacked to inspect and something is wrong, checked the label on the back and wrong size fridge. Contacted company no problems please repack and they will have it picked up at their cost.

Expected a bum fight but no. Now to wait for the right fridge. Good thing our travel plans this month have had to be cancelle but may try to go ror a wee. Cheers Robert.
