Slack day today, the Telstra online and by phone is bloody useless which ever way you go, you get all recorded crap if you want zxe press x#% and so 30 mins you are no further on, the chat help bs is no better, around and around you go trying to talk to a bot or something.. I ended up on the telstra fb page and sent a message, wow got a reply from a human but their answer to mt Q was go here @#$% same crap. They offer me a "Platium service for a fee" get stuffed. so on Thursday I am taking this machine into the T shop at Mt B and they can fix it. Why an't you talk to a real person? Anyway tonight I cooked the most beautiful tea and even got to eat most of it. Pork sirloin 2'' thick home made chips and salad. The meat was so tender and juicy, I just did small nibbles and made sure it wend down ok. Could only manage half of the meat but that will tomorrow's meal. Proud of myself, :o . Gunna be a cold night tonight, very still out there. Have a good rest up Deborah. Safe driving or sailind or what ever and sickies all get well. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D

Dot, you have the only answer for Telstra, go to the shop and get them to work it out. You pays for it to be in working order, not crap. xxxx

Yeppoon was not as exciting for shopping as hoped, but I did get a pair of shorts. It's so hot here that shorts are needed now. I suspect that as we keep going South, the clothes will get warmer.

Today we drove from Rockhampton to Biloela on a bit of a dirt track (by choice) and actually have got the tug dirty. As we can only stay behind the exhibition centre for two nights, that's as long as we will be here. This is one of those towns where the friendliness is contagious. People have said hello to us as we walked around the town, and we have felt welcome to be here.

nighty night xxx

Shorts!! OMG what are they? HTFFBO also said it was 29 today and moving a bit further Nth soon ?? I thought today was Tuesday but oh no G said we have the spec savers test tomorrow which is Thursday  getting old me thinks. Today i did the weed spraying, made a wonderful fire burning all the gum leaves from next door and funnily enough the wind was blowing their way. Used the blower to put the straw back onto the garden that the birds had scratched here there and everywhere. Looks like I will be getting the foot chop soon, the steroid jab came to an end and back to very painful walking / standing not to have any more jabs so surgery is the next and only option, boo hoo need both feet doing but can't be done together as recovery is 6-10 weeks for open surg and 3-6 weeks for laparoscopic. :( Take care tomorrow Tanks, remember to rest as often as you need to catch you when you get back on line. . Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Macca x :D

"tanks"
here
I am feeling great after my 3-hour drive/walk/drive to get to Wyalkatchem.
It's a great feeling just to be able to drive without traffic lights.
I am now sitting in front of an open fire in the living room and enjoying my solitude.
The MIGHTY BOMBERS game against the Magpies will be shown on WA TV tomorrow night.
What more could I ask for. HELLO DOT.
Good night all
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

How did Tanks go on his trip today I wonder, will have to ask him. Both of us had our yearly eye and hearing tests, my eyes are the same as 3 yrs ago 20 20 distance and my reading glasses are still ok. Same as hearing test = nothing to be done. G's also ok with his present glasses and his hearing is not to a stage that any action needs doing = OK. Then into Telstra shop re the spam, the guy had a bit of a giggle when he saw the subjects and said just forget about them , do not open them and after 30 dys they will be automatically disappear. Only real way not to get these is to change the email addy. Next issue I investigated was, I rang the foot specialist and said I wanted to go ahead with the surgery as I am back to not being able to walk again. The girl said I would need to see the man and yes another cost of $120  I then asked her if he had a gap and what it was? she reluctantly said his gap would be between $500 and $2000. What ?  Then she mentioned the gas man fee and the assistant. That did it told her I wasn't coming there for him to tell me those exorbitant fees. So then rang my throat mans bro (orthopod) but he doesn't do the particular op but did recommend a lady foot and ankle specialist, reng her rooms, got appointment fot the 5th Sept her fees are $500 gap, gas man $150, and first visit is $250 but medicare gives back $86. nothing for follow up post op. Guess who I am going with? How bloody greedy are some snobby Drs? He is a good surgeon but just money hungry. And then we went to the brand new Woolies just opened Wednesday (yesterday) out the front of the store there were around 14 pram / car spaces and we could only see 1 but maybe there was another up the other end plus saw another disabled space at the beginning of the normal parking spaces. I put my permit in the window and parked in the nearest pram space. That is not right, yes the area is a new one and probably young couples but if they can have a baby then they can push a pram. Us oldies with crook this and that need spaces closer to the entry than them. Bet a male designed that car park. Off to the city tomorrow for physio so off to bed now. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D. You beat me to it Tanks. Glad all went well for you

Good luck with your new lady doc, Dot. That was smart to ring ahead and check the upfront costs. I would not have thought about it. But now, I probably will do the same thing. I am still wearing shorts too mate. Today it was denim long shorts with a Tshirt that has a lot of lace trim on the back, so it was denim and lace. The nights are a bit chilly but hey, it's easy living with 10 degree nights when the days are up there in the thirties.xxxx

We had a lovely day in Biloela. The vinnies was really good and I bought a dress. I cannot remember the last time I wore a dress, but I really fell for this one. Tried it on and it looks good, so now he will have to take me somewhere fancy enough to warrant a dress. Right next to vinnies is a bakery. I think it is up there as one of the best bakeries that we have visited. The bread is delicious and crusty/fresh. I sliced it on the sink draining board and made a big mess with the crumbs, Well worth the cleaning up, it was lovely bread. We also bought take away meals from them . We had delicious sweet n sour chicken with fried rice for dinner. Really lovely food, if we were staying longer, I would return to the bakery regularly.

Tomorrow we are travelling Southerly again. Theodore is our next planned stop. Will be a new one for us, so it's a discovery trip for us.

night all xxx

Pays to say something if you think something is wrong. Today the PA to the pig of a surgeon rang me to say she told him what I had said about him and his over inflated fees etc. She said he would set his extra fee to $500, gas man =Nil (only medicare fee) no assistant fee and no post op charge so she made me an appointment with him next Thursday to discuss the paperwork and sign consent forms.  Cost $140 and medicare gives back $40 wow. She also said surgery could be in 2-3 weeks depending on what needs to be done? I won... I will go with him because he is the best in his field, but I give back what I get. So that is all settled. Bring it on. Well my M8 Tanks kindly let me know the result of our footy team the Bombers, and we lost to dam Collingwood of all the ones . Our physio sold her house today so she is happy. . Watching good old Dirty Harry again (1971) and wasn't he a spunk? He is now 99yrs old and still has "that look" How are all the sickies doing? Bruce what's your stones up to these days? Take care on the roads everyone. I had an enjoyable tea tonight, wait for it... little boys, tomato sauce and fresh bread and butter then custard. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight David :D x

Good result Dot. You managed to make a surgeon be realistic about your ability to pay for his next mercedes. xxxx

We did manage to get to Theodore, yesterday. But it was such a quick trip, we decided to drive on tp Taroom. It was a caravan park in the gravel and not much else to see in the town. We stayed only one night. Today we drove on to Miles showground, where we have a cement slab, plenty of room around us and in the quiet part of the showgrounds. Until, we actually drove in to the showgrounds, I didn't remember us staying here last year. I think I was a bit stressed about his lordships health by then. Miles has a good bakery, so I bought some steak n mushroom pies for dinner tonight. I am loving the chefs nights off.

Tomorrow will be a day of rest and a bit of sight seeing.

night all xxx

MUSHROOMS in pies!! If you post tomorrow night we will know all is ok :) Did nothing at all today NOTHING. A strawberry nearly got me tonight but I got the bugger out quickly  Suppose it is about time to start planting stuff again ready for summer, tomato plant again  Guess what is happening in Norma's cage? (not our sheep shagger Norman) but the feathered Norman, yep the eggs are starting to appear again but seeing there is NO nesting material in the cage they are splattering when they hit the ground. If we put fresh grass in their cage they take some grass into a corner and start sitting on that but when we see that we take it out. When we had our eye tests done last week I asked the Dr to give me the filled in form by her for my Gp to see for my MR licence, Yearly is a bit much I reckon. Have a good rest Deborah. Any bowls being played Shirley? How are you settling into the new way of life Bobr? Hope you are keeping warm enough Tanks. Take care everyone and goodnight to all x :D Goodnight Swisslulu x :D

"tanks" here---
In brief; I'm heading back to Perth this afternoon.(Sunday).
The long weekend "back in the bush" looking at the place has worked wonders for me, enough that I can handle another few months in the Perth rat-race. ----
