best advice please?

I have to ask if Phillips is better than blade?
Does the type of handle make any difference?

I reckon the flat blade will fail before the Phillips head. It doesn't look to have as God a contact area due to the taper. I reckon it might flow 160 amps or so before it begins to melt.

Not sure Bruce,

The photo looks ugly enough to think maybe a good overhaul could be a good idea.

Maybe worth having a think about it. ;)

The great thing about phillips screw drivers is the come in different diameters and wear out the head the quickest, so there are plenty of them available at a good price from your local tradie ..... one of the big suckers could carry quite a few amps .....
I'd go for the plastic hand jobs, the wooden ones often have a pin through the tang and might bite the hand of the users, the metal handled ones certainly would

I've been looking for a high capacity knife blade switch at a cheap price, this could be the answer, now to find an assistant to operate the switch while I stand back with the camera ;)
