Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, all the olde fashioned recipes can be found in the old commonsense cookbooks. Sorry I'm not home to give you that recipe, but maybe watch out for it at your op shops. If you are lucky, you could score one from before we went metric and it really does help to follow the recipes carefully. The other books were the cranky womens, but I think they were not as practical and made fancy baking stuff that looked even harder after reading the recipe. ;) xxxx

We had a loverly shorter trip up the road. Stopped in at Laurieton Pub for lunch. After reading the OTT menu that specialised in lamb shanks and pork ribs and other heavy/trendy foods all at exorbitant prices, we ate our vegemite sangers. Nicely parked in their gravel pit of a carpark, so just had our lunch there, in a different way. Dinner tonight was meat and lots of vegs. Sausage/veg rolls from the freezer. Good thing that I made a big batch before we left home, so I know that we have eaten carefully today.

We are now based in Port for a week. Some R&R, some visiting his brother and then the weekend doing my thing. All systems are go.

night all xxx
Deborah

Goodluck with your quack Dot. I think Eddy has the right recipe. I don't remember it having any fruit in it, but that may have just been my Mum. Happy cooking too xxxx

We were in Vinnies today and a helper told me that she has bought from me at the gift fair but hasn't seen any adds for it at all this year. So I have just spent a long time building up f**kbook posts for the region, as well as making one for my usual followers. I know that it has been on radio and tv as well as f**kbook, so hope this lady does come along. I find it difficult to sound different in every post and to make it sound fresh and exciting. I don't think that I would make a very good publicity person.

As well as a vinnies run, we found an Indian Bazaar where they sell happy pants. I found a few pairs that I couldn't live without and worked it down to just three. So very happy here. His nibs isn't. When I threw the new purchases into the washing machine, his sox hid with the load. They are not white anymore...oops. He should love wearing sort of dark blue/purple sox, yet nobody sees his sox. :) ;)

sweet dreams xxx

Evening/Morning all Dot look for a copy of the old CWA cook book they did do a metric update a few years ago for their anniversery. My mum put sultanas in hers mainly because dad liked the sultanas in it.

Will look later if I have a spare one for you.

In Flinders Private yesterday for 3 injections on the T 7,8 & 9 joints of the spin. No driving for a few days and painful this morning. Hope it settles the nerves down in that area.

Work finished on the van and only need fresh product in the fridge, freezer. Now to find time with no medical appointments so we can go some where.

Deborah hope the sales improve for you and yes the cost of pub food is a killer as well as some charging $15 for a schooner (15oz).

Safe travels and best for all on the sick list cheers Robert.

Dot, did you try the pudding recipe? Hope it works out to be the one that floats yer boat. ;) ;) xxxx

Robert, you are so right. Two lousy snags in a bowl of chips and smothered in congealed gravy was going to cost $28. They make their money the easy way there. Obviously wont be in a rush to try their summer menu (if such a thing exists).

We had all seasons in a day here , and it isn't Melbum. Started out stinking hot, so decided to spend some time in an airconditioned shopping centre. After we sorted out groceries, a few fancy prescription drugs and his glasses adjustment, the weather was changing. We made it back to the van for a humungous storm, which cooled the place down beautifully. Tonight, it's back to stinkin hot and humid. ggrrr

Today our baby turned 46. What happened to that time? Flies fast when you're out there living your life .

sleep tight vegemites...and vegemite turned 100 today. Our son isn't quite half that yet

Thanks Eddy, I wasn't on here to see the recipe but as it happens When we went to see GP we did check out the cookers books, one had the B&B pudding but it was a fancy one so one of the ladies wrote the old recipe in the book for me (books free there. Then we hit the next op shop and straight away bingo the old fashioned recipe was there, just about word for word of Eddy's  how's that? When we got home yesterday arvo I had to go to bed as really buggered. Got up and G had bought me a choc donut, cut a small bit off BUT it would not go down so the coughing etc started and finally it was ejected and now my throat is so sore. No more donuts for me. Tomorrow will be the B&B pudd tryout. We have had high winds, rain and a bit of sun. What soil conditioner do you gardeners use?? Little car going in for service Friday so that means 3 more op shops  Take care all you lucky ones travelling . Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Bruce x :D

Was going to attempt the B&B pudd but had no nutmeg so it will have to be made tomorrow night. Car going in for service tomorrow and so will do shopping over there. Had a good 2 hr talk to my Kiwi M8, she said their councils are going mad, she has been told that she has to put a concrete slab x X x so hold a fire tanker in case of fire plus a water tank of 40k lits, As expected she has told them to "Mrs Brown" off. Plus she is awaiting big surgery for her heart and also as she puts it Mrs Brown "Alians" in her uterus and those ops have to be done and dusted before her hopefully last court case next May. Forgot to let you lot know there is a NEW better Shingles vaccine out now, I get mine in 3 weeks also she is sending me for the good old bone density scan What is a bit more radiation between friends hey? Tomorrow the cleaner team will be doing AJ's house, will be done in one day She is coming up Saturday and again Tuesday with the plumber and sparkie in tow for demo plans to be made. All systems are go. We are also doggie sitting this weekend, busy busy busy. Time to hit the sack so Take care everyone and goodnight to all x Goodnight Tanks, hope your trip went well so enjoy your mini holiday x :D

Dot, what did the doc say about your foot op, or is it other doc? One more scan can't hurt, can it. We're all gunna glow in the dark eventually anyway. Take it easy with stuff for AJ, it's OK to delegate.
Cheers
