Dot, have I told you to buy whole nutmegs and grate them onto the pud? I have a fancy super fine grater and the flavour of the nutmeg freshly grated is divine. Sometimes it's the little extras that make all the difference.xxxx
Shirley, take care of our lake please. At least you are not getting the thrashing that Port Mac is getting.
The weather here has been atrocious. Good thing we don't have a chain or a dog. They would have gone by now. The rain has been relentless and super heavy. Hoping to see it slow down a bit for our sales this weekend.
This has been the only event that we come to, that the tables have had to be set up on the first morning. We had to start at 8am and be ready for sales at 10. It was always a huge mad scramble and super stressful. We were allowed in today at 3pm and boy, what a difference. Not only can we sleep in for a bit longer, but the table already looks great. Only a few more jobs to do in the morning, but it's all good.
I had built some Christmas trees on light up bases, that needed a usb power supply. Sent away to amazon for one and it arrived a long time after the trees had been packed and loaded into the truck. Today. we tried to light up a few trees and bugga, it didn't work. Kmart is across the road, so we went and bought a power source thingy. The thing works great, big relief and sent his nibs to get a second one so that we van have a few more trees shining on the table.
sweet dreams you lot xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Had some good belly laughs this morning, Brian was harassing Rosy by hiding behind doors and peeping at Rosy then as soon as Rosy came closer Brian would jump out at her, but then she would run off making Brian chase her.
They went home late arvo much to Rosy's delight.
Just after 5pm George had some bad pain on his back just under his R) shoulder blade, BP was up and he rated the pain as a 10 so I got him a couple of those good things you get after surgery and put an ice pack over the pain, 1 hr later his BP was down and the pain was just about gone then he was asking for food
I reckon it was a muscle spasm. Back to AJ's tomorrow to meet some bank person for him to get inside. Was told by a lady at the plant nursery that to get the clay soil broken up we should spread clay breaker over the area then rotary hoe it in with good manure and water it all in, then top off with mulch (pea straw?) Is this sounding right?? Garden work set down for tomorrow. How is the boat ride going David? and when may we all expect to catch up??? Stay safe everyone and Goodnight x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, I'm pretty sure that clay breaker and gypsum are the same thing. Once you have hoed it all in, plant some spuds in it an let them die off and hoe it all in again. That's what my dad used to do and he finished up with great garden beds and vege plots.
The boat trip is pretty good. Finishes this morning, We will be back in Adelaide by lunch time. I will call you this arvo.

Robert, you'd best do some before and after shots. Otherwise it didn't happen.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
A mixed day, I didn't get to do as much as I thought I would of, just some washing and watered some pots then I was buggered. Thanks for the soil info, David if you put spuds into the soil amongst your shrubs won't you end up with heaps of spuds? Checked on the little birds nest in the lavender bush and there were the 3 sleeping honey eaters sound asleep. Looking forward to tomorrow, AJ is back up to give her plans to the sparkie, plumber and builder, this old cottage is going to be so swish when finished by end of November and she is also delivering a surprise for us Hmmmmmmm I wonder what it could be?? Wind is picking up again , Gman is over his pain episode and all is well so Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you been too busy mate. xxxx
We have been so busy that I have been bushed each night and actually went to bed, last night at 10pm after eating an apple for dinner.
Saturday, the stall was a great day, Sunday the sun came out finally and all our customers must of gone to the beach. It was s-l-o-w and not a huge profit overall. We certainly made a profit, but not enough to get excited about.
We're heading back to our other home tomorrow, in time to get some work done on the van (leaky roof) and some things for the rental. Also have the solar people coming to see us this week (maybe) and I have a much needed chiropractor visit booked for Friday. It's sort of like we are heading back to normal, but that doesn't ever work for us. Normal is a cycle on a washing machine and at the moment, I feel more like I have been through the wringer.
