Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Sleepy rest day needed for you too Dot? xxxx

We enjoyed a slow start to our day, did a bit of op shopping , had lunch at the RSL and more rest time this afternoon.

Obviously not much to tell. The old architecture around Bathurst is impressive and well preserved. The court house is the one that that stands out for being in such great condition for a federation building.

Tomorrow we start the wait for the tables to be delivered and then set up the stall. We have a few of our own tables, but the main large ones, too big for us to travel with, get hired from a separate company. The hire company can be particularly painful to deal with. Tables may be delivered before lunch, but more likely to come at afternoon tea time.

Hope the weather is kind to you Deborah, did you get a good haul from the op shops? My sleep pattern is so erratic these days, heaven knows what causes it other than age  G took a load of tree cuttings to the tip today (our mulcher was in a shed that burnt down) so much more to do but get held up with birds sitting on eggs so we wait till babies have flown the nest. The little corella's are back in town much to the disgust of some precious people, they were here before people but as usual the human race has to be in charge, even of nature. Where is our mate Nigel when you need him? I need to know when we are going to get some rain? Time to get ready for bed e buys so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Nigel x :D

Dot, so far the weather is looking good. Hot during the days and close to freezing at night. Easier to sleep in the cold. Op shops were a bit of a frost, but I may be getting a little bit precious about what I buy too. My wardrobe needs no replacements yet. His nibs scored a new pair of denim jeans, so he was happy. It make the shopping happier, if he finds more stuff for himself than I do  xxxx

Today we set up the stall and then sat down to watch the sideshow. I was still slowly waking up when His lordship came to announce that he has found our site and the tables are being delivered now. He was so excited that the organisers have done a lot better than last time (in his eyes) so I had to rush the shower and get over to dress the stall.

I did a lot of fiddling to get it right, I have never had to deal with a telegraph post between the two tables, so that added a different aspect to it all. We are all set up and have set the alarm so that's it for tonight.

I think the weather is about the same all over lately, hotter in the day and cooler at night. Just wish the BOM would get it right now and again.. Still needing old Nigel though. Heaps of tree cuttings done today bit more to do. AJ back up tomorrow arvo, she will be a resident next Thursday and still heaps to get done. She rang the tiler last night to let him know she had picked up the tiles and stuff ready for him to start but he just told her he couldn't do the job now???? Nice hey, now on the hunt for a tiler. We went around there this evening and I reckon someone has been digging in the garden for themselves, a bamboo looked dead and there was a bald plot next to it so I watered the plant hoping it comes right ???? The house over the road to us had heaps of solar put on today, Nth front of the house and west side fully covered with panels. Have a great selling weekend Deborah. Time for a shower then bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Riverlander x :D

Missed last night as I went to sleep in the chair until 0400hrs then staggered into bed. Lots more tree trimming done today and I gave directions  Off to the city tomorrow to see the neck man. Taking our "sold" kia gt to have wheels rotated and hopefully have the chip in the windscreen fixed before dropping it off to AJ's, I expect to see her old conked out again X trail on the side of the road with a free sign on it . Engaged the Sheriff again to do another attempt to serve the roof man, I was surprised to hear that they don't have to ask the person for ID. Last time the creep said he was not the man he wanted. This time sheriff has a pic, the copy of his address from the AER, fb info so this time he should be successful. Oh we hope so. House across the road now has a roof full of solar panels, would that many make it completely free of the grid and be self-sufficient? Time for a shower and bed ready for tomorrow so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bobr x :D

Dot, the last two days have been 35 and not much respite at night. Sounds like the locals are happy to thieve plants for a person new to the area. That's just horrible. Tilers can be difficult to actually pin down to work, hope you can help AJ find the tiler of her dreams. Goodluck with your neck man mate xxxx

Bathurst is done for another year. It was a reasonably good show money wise. The crowds were huge and it was so bloomin hot that we really did earn our money. My phone and square machine wont talk to each other. Luckily I have worked out how to use it as long as the person can give me all the numbers, so I can do it as a manual entry. I would not have made much profit if the machine didn't co-operate at all. Gee people are strange. Hasn't the optus event showed them to carry cash to things like markets? It is just presumed that traders can do eftpos. It would be easier for us too, cash is definitely king in our world. The couple of things that we purchased over the weekend, we used cash and the traders were really pleased to see it.

With the huge truck event yesterday, there were still a lot of truckies hanging around at bedtime. I was stuffed so tried to go to sleep early (midnight, even), but no way could I get to sleep. Some of the truckies parked up near our van and had a huge altercation that culminated with very loud fighting, a woman screaming "don't kill him" and a lot of metal thumping noises like a hammer or spanner. Eventually the showgrounds security came and sorted it out. The noise finally stopped around 5, so not much sleep was had in our van. Today, I was a bit wrecked, but we survived.

Happily most of the offenders were gone by the time we had to be ready to head over to the pavilion. Peace is reigning supreme tonight.

sweet dreams out there, xxx

Morning all great win for Australia in the cricket even if we do have another billion Indians hating us.

Weather has been mid 20c here but dry which is not good for me. Finally tested negative for covis so can get on with life a bit better.
Two medicals today, skin doctor for a check up and heart for the 24 hr blood monitoring.

Hope every one else is well enough and Dot slow down a bit mate cheers Robert

Dot, we have 24 solar panels and we are nowhere near being off the grid. There are a lot of variables, like how strong each panel is and how much battery power they have.
Hope the neck person was kind to you xxxx

Robert, you take it slowly and get really healthy so that you can enjoy the festive season. Glad that you finally tested negative.

Today was a very quiet one. We had a very ordinary lunch in a pub, got our of doing the dishes, but that's all. We found a few interesting places to visit and a free camp beside the river (was busy and looked good, for those who go off grid) the rest of the day was quiet.

night all xxx

Been helping with the Christmas Wonderland again. Said I wouldn't but felt sorry for the few that turned up to help. Light up day on Saturday. Faye and I had our first shingles shot today. Next one in early Feb. See we have quite a bit of rain forecast for Thursday but it might all disappear by then.
Goodnight All
