Hi. Looks like you will add a few more pages to your already extensive hospital file. The best news from what it could have been. Good luck from both of us. Cheers John

Re: Crappy news Ray aka Greynomads thread
What am I on .... must have been some nasty stuff to make a post like that

After losing all my vintage Port and best Durif and other reds in the fire (I'd at least drunk the rest) a trip to Warrabilla was a must do next time we are over that way, so a visit to your place is a definite on the program. Can't remember the name of the winery just down the road on the opposite side, but they had a good selection of fine reds as well, so another day lost there might be on the cards

UPDATE ON RAY's MEDICAL CONDITIONS
As you all know Ray was diagnosed with bowel cancer and is going into hospital on the 21st December to have the surgery to kick it to the kerb. The surgeon is confident they will have a good result, so we are happy with that report.
What you didn't know was that Ray was also diagnosed with cancer of his liver so will be on Chemo hoping that will kill the metastases (in the liver) And a review in 6 mths to see if surgery is required.
Ray saw the liver surgeon today to see if the 2 conditions could be attacked together but due to Ray's angina & medical history, he decided not a good idea hence the chemo and 6 mth wait.
With Rays attitude and doggedness, I am sure he will kick whatever is thrown at him through his journey he will beat it.
Hang tough Ray we are all behind you.

Re: Crappy news Ray aka Greynomads thread
"tanks" here---
Ray, I'm thinking of you having Chicken Soup for Christmas dinner. My late Grandmother was of the opinion that Hot Chicken Soup cured all ails, and if that didn't work, out came the weekly caster oil dose.
On the serious side; which hospital are you to be admitted. How long do you expect to stay in the hospital to recover from the surgery.
Is Joy able to attend to the "Girls" needs, their walks and exercise, plus her trips to hospital to visit you etc. Have you considered boarding the Girls out for a few weeks, or having friends or neighbors take on some of their activity.
My thoughts are that the Girls have not been left on their own for any length of time.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

I know what comes out of the behind region when prepping for bowel work, and I don't intend to be behind you for thatDot wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:44 pm UPDATE ON RAY's MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Hang in there, should I still be offering you Durif with your liver problems? Although, alcohol kills many things so maybe it can be used to trim back the cancer ......
