Early night again. bit of a rough day, still waiting for the vet to get back to me about the results from Brians X/R of his jaw that was sent to the vet dental specialist yesterday as the local vets had no idea what they were looking at. Hope for some news tomorrow. I am off to the cancer dental clinic tomorrow so I will also take Brians X/Ray to see what they may find. AJ also got sent a copy. Fingers crossed please guys. Did some repotting of some plants AJ gave me and that's about it for the day. Take things easy. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Peter aka Pet-els x :D

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Wonder what the cancer dentist will think of you hauling in Brian's xray.  You are making me laugh now Dot. Hope they can help xxxx

Hope the sleep is better tonight Keith.

We will sleep way better tonight. It's pouring cats n dogs tonight, so definitely a sleeping night.

Trip to the hammer shop, to find answers about the crappy paint that we are using on the front door. I bought the Monocel branded paint because it was made in WA, so thought of the old estapol products and expected to get as good results. Wont be buying that again. Bought a tin of Feast Watson and hope it does the trick.
Next stop was the grocery across the lake, to get some decent mince to remake the sausage rolls. We both agreed that last night's ones were not fit for human consumption. Lucky me, I won a credit thingy from foodworks just before Christmas, so I let them buy the load of mince and other meats. I am not impressed at having to toss out all that work and food, but our health is worth more than that.

Sweet dreams out there xxx

Crappy day. G to GP for blood results and nursing plan thing done, both had our Covid booster then to kill sone time in shopping centre before my dental appointment in the city. I showed her Brians X/R and her look told me what I feared but we shall wait for the numb nut specialist vet to give his thoughts. ?? Monday if that is not too much trouble. Brian is doing nothing but eat and sleep. . Man is delivering some huge brand new pallets tomorrow for FREE as we are taking them to a friends animal sanctuary, we will pull them apart here so easier to make inside walls for the roos and koalas etc. Asked the 2 "happy boys" from across the road to help us unload them because of G's hernia so looks like tomorrow will be scones day. Some nice people around for sure. I got some pizza bases from Bakers delight and they turned out rather nice esp with pineapple on them. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert not Bob x

Dot, fingers crossed for Brian. How's the reaction to the covid shot? xxxx

Good one Robert not Bob.

Yesterday we asked about having covid shots at the chemist where we had all of the rest done. He now only stocks pfeiser, which I refuse to have on principal Today we did a bit of a phone around and found a chemist at Morisset that does Moderna, so now we also have had shot number 6. The reason for not continuing with stocking Moderna was that the use by date is now very short and he has to dispose of left overs after 18 days. If he had done a bit of advertising that he had supplies, he would not have had any wastage. His loss. Both of us have very sore arms tonight.

I seem to have been on the phone for much of today, with the lady who bought my old kiln. She hasn't quite got the hang of operating the digital controls. She may have 3 degrees and is a teacher, but it is not that hard to read a manual that is written in proper English as well as the carefully hand written notes that I gave her. Her messages were not making sense, so eventually I typed out a schedule with absolutely every step that she had to punch in to the machine, right up to where to push the enter key. Finally she figured out that she was pushing the sequence wrong...der. I spent many hours explaining it to her. I do hope that her husband is home this weekend and she can talk the steps over with him, instead of me. It's nice to be helpful, but there really is a limit on my time some days.

The next batch of sausage rolls were made this afternoon with a lot of help from his nibs. He felt bad about the previous mince failure too. I did get a bit of a chuckle as he wrestled the bag of frozen mixed veg into the grinder machine, followed by sweet spuds and zucchini. He has now seen just how fiddly it can be to make healthy versions of junk food. I think he will appreciate the effort next time we are in the van and looking for a quick meal.

Been a very long day
Night all xxx

I was a good girl today, a lovely man was giving huge new pallets away but I told him G man has a hernia again so he borrowed the boss's big 4x4 and trailer and bought them over from Murray bridge at no charge. He is an engineer with some big solar mob. He would not take any $$ so I gave him a box of the last bits from the garden, tomatoes, apples and pears to say thank you. A really lovely man indeed. G went across the road where the young lads live and asked then for help unloading so they got fresh scones, jam and cream plus a doz apple crumble muffins. So nice to have helpful people around. Tomorrow the lady is coming to do out assessment for NDIS and the Aged care thing. Then it's off to AJ's for a treatment. Deborah neither of us have had any issues with the jabs, just felt a little reminder when I rolled on that arm. Have been in the bus starting to clean again and will refill food etc as I am wanting to disappear to the block for a few days RnR and see my GP on friday. Brian is just laying around but happy as far as we can tell. The vet will be getting a serve on Monday, When someone says they will ring you and they don't that is a red bull to me. Last time I spoke to vet I asked if it were her pet and you were awaiting good or bad news then things would be different. Told her the specialist vet could easily look at an X/R and tell what the prob is with one minute if he was any sort of a specialist, NOT happy Jan. Anyway I am sitting here balling my eyes out watching Beaches and so now it is time to say goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight WayneP x :D

Had our " interview" today with a lady from "My Aged Care" lot. Will be on the ph in the morning after I ring the vets... While we were at AJ's I was looking out the back yard when I heard a noise behind me. that noise was Gman hitting the concrete face first  . Aj came out and made G get on the treatment bed, checked him over as G was feeling crook and hot so she bandaged his R) hand and did an adjustment or two until G felt better. FREE medical :D . Then it was my turn for the couch. She had a car person sell her old car, the buyer took it for a long drive and looked under the hood and so bought it. Today 3 days after the buyer rings the seller and says "I want my $$ back as it has conked out". AJ said the car was sold with no warranty, the buyer didn't give his address, or any ID so she was adamant there would be no refund. The guy that sold it for her is now worried the buyer will be a problem but he hasn't a leg to stand on . If any weird stuff happens ring the cops and do not communicate with the buyer. "Buyer be ware" I thought today was Saturday :? so I am missing a day. Brian is doing the same old stuff, eating sleeping and repeat. No more fruit on the trees so they will await pruning. Last night I was watching Steptoe and Son but I couldn't stay awake but had some good laughs. Take care everyone and goodnight x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D

Dot, you had an interview from an aged care mob on a Sunday? Sounds highly suspicious. Tell AJ that she sold the car as is and she is not responsible for any damage that the buyer has done to it. If he rings again, tell him that he might need to fill the petrol tank! Stay safe mate xxxx

I have been trying to get some scraps of glass to fall through the tiny holes of a stainless steel steamer. First night, not a lot of glass fell through, so I turned up the temp and let it really fry last night, Quite a lot had fallen down through the holes but the best pretty part was still up on top of the steamer. I removed the steamer and used the good ole hammer therapy. Most of the pretty bits were broken up but the colours were still very clear. I put all that mess on top of the bits that had fallen through to the bottom, so it looks like a very random pattern now. It's getting another warm up tonight. As it was just scraps, I am not really losing anything (except the electricity) . Tomorrow I may make some plan....or not.

Finally, our arms have stopped the harsh aching and no real side effects to bother with.

night all xxx
Deborah

he he Deborah it's not what you know but who you know with things these days. She came yesterday because she had too many other people to see today over the other side of town. Re AJ; s car she told the person that sold the car for her not to engage with the buyer as you are encouraging contact. Nothing done by me today have been so tired today. George's hand is still bandaged up as ordered by AJ :) We got a check from power people as they said we over paid our bill ? don't quite get that because it is direct debit. Another warm day tomorrow I might get outside early in the morning but I doubt it very much hate the heat. Hope the kiln does it's job tonight Deborah. Are the bowls back in full swing yet Shirley? Once again nothing on TV so I am going for a nice shower and hop into bed. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Macca x :D
