Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hey, Dot, I'm back on caravan time. Computer first then read in bed, So it's easy to get here before you
xxxx
We left home just before 9am, so it was a good early start for both of us. After several essential stops, we arrived in Uralla showground around 4pm. So it has been a long day. The drive was non eventful, so happy about that. I think we are inn Captain Thunderbolt country, if my bushranger remembering is right.
Tomorrow, will only be an hour and a half drive to Glen Innes, so a little bit more relaxed. We will stop there a few nights until after the Minerama festival.
Stay sane out there, night xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I love caravan time, have a good relaxing time before the work begins, Lets know how "the blobs" sell and any comments people make about them. George went to have lunch with his daughter at Victor Harbour today and I had a nice me time day. Gave all gardens a good watering this evening as the heat is coming again this week. The sky was really red tonight. In the process of writing a letter to the parole board expressing concerns about the Rock spiders parole application hearing is April. IT has done 7 of the 12 yrs, got to keep these filthy things away from the public. We put the sun shades all around the bus today sussing everything out before we head off at a minute's notice plus they keep the bus cooler when doing stuff inside. Tomorrow is my AJ treatment day and more bus stuff. George came home with strange Pussy hair on him, it was from his daughters cat which is very smoochy, I got him to take his clothes off and put them in the washing machine before Brian sniffed them out. Boys on bikes are on later on so I think I should do the very few items of ironing
that have been waiting to be done for a few mths. Goodnight every one x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Gee Dot, I think the letter writing would almost be therapy for you. Let it all out and give the parole board the truth. Community safety seems to be something parole board's don't really care about. xxxx
Had a good drive up to Glen Innes. We were here well before lunch time. We also had a bit of a detour to get to the Guyra bakery for some pies. That was such a disappointment. It has become a tradition for us to get a couple of pies on our way here and then next week on our way to Armidale. That's one tradition that may have to change. Tonight's pie had such heavy horrible pastry that we really didn't enjoy the meal. I think we may be needing to start some new traditions. There is a bakery in Glen that looks promising, so we will try there if we have time.
Tomorrow is set up the stall day, so we will find what has or hasn't broken in transit. It's a regular thing to lose a plate or two. It just gives me a reason to have to fire it again and make it even more interesting, so I don't get too upset with breakages.
happy days ahead

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
The parole people along with the Victims of crime people have been very helpful through all of this and said it there is anything they can help us with just call. G has been jotting things down, I leave this up to him as it's his daughter that's involved.. For tea tonight I had a soft boiled egg then custard and stewed apples for pudding and nothing got stuck
I have a girl friend in Mt Isa, she sent me a pic of her kitchen and living room floor, she has done it all with resin, she is so arty farty she is the lady who's daughter has that horrid phython, I won't go in the house unless it is away and covered up, geeze I hate those things. Once again I did absolutely nothing today and enjoyed it. Waiting for the BOB's to start so behave everyone, have a great sales time Deborah, lets know how the "blobs sell" Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Love your optimism Dot. My blobs are not the cheapest things on the stall and it's a real event when I actually do sell one. I have sold a few over the last couple of years tho. Keep on at the parole board and lots of luck with it. xxxx
Today was set up the stall day. Oh boy it was a slow one. They have changed the way the hall is configured and we needed to take a while to come to terms with it. Most of it is now set out for sales. I took some time to put prices onto the latest stuff. There wasn't enough room for all of my fancy plates, but it still worked out ok. The next three days will tell if I am ready to "retire" or not.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, the blobs are creating a lot of interest, but the three on the stall are all still there tonight.
They really do get the attentions of many people, so they are doing a good job. xxxx
Sorry you lot down South are finding it a little bit extra warm. The highlands are very chilly and the wind feels like it has snow in it. Even had a few spits of frozen rain for short bursts.
Yesterday, the trading was dismal and we were quite disappointed. Today was super slow. but a few bigger sales made up for yesterday. There was a lovely young man singing country music for a while. He was so good that I bought his CDs to play in the truck. Matt Scullion is his name and I think worth looking out for.
Tomorrow's forecast is 12-22 degrees so it will be mild again and great sleeping weather. Looking forward to having a late sleep on Monday. Currently we have to be presentable and on show by 9am, so late sleeps don't happen until Monday.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Glad the blobs are attracting people, there is nothing else like them at all. At least you are having some good sleeping weather. Watching the BOB in the "Paris Nice" race, the Jayco boys are doing pretty well they are up the front a lot but it's the end position that counts, 40 ks to go. The weather there it is pelting down rain and the roads are in the mountains with very slippery, winding roads with big steep sides off the roads, I get car sick when the camera on the motorbikes goes around the bends. Did absolutely nothing much today, mixed up the sausage mix last night and because of the heat today there was no way an oven would be used inside so the convection oven in the bus was used to cook them
. Made about 3 doz and G has already had about 6 so I had better wrap them up and put in the freezer soon. (now all put away) Air con off but ceiling fans are on, no windows /doors open tonight as temp is expected to be hotter tonight (28) . G went and told next door their cat was over here at night and I am not happy with it peeing around the house as it upsets Brian as well. Bloody people that think it is ok for their kids and animals to run free, as long as they are ok Well I think I might be borrowing Robert n Bob's trap again. Might even have a caltrop drop over the fence on a windy day for their perfect lawn, It was Brian that said that
12ks to go Deborah and the Jayco boy Platt is up the pointy end and the other guy Harper is just behind him. Off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x
