Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, after watching a long story on 4 corners tonight, about spinal devices and surgeries that are unnecessary and cause more damage than great results, I think hospitals and most docs are only after your money. Its a no care about you, just pay up before you go home attitude. It is time for a shake up of all medical procedures and a lot of docs should be shown the door. Good luck with the specialist, who seems like an Ahole. xxxx

The kiln fairy must have taken last night's post as a jinx. Somehow I managed to program the kiln to a much too high temp and I found a horrible mess in the kiln today. For a stunning bowl, that was just in for a slight repair, I really stuffed it up. The blue bowl that has been on all of my adds for this weekend event, had to be replaced asap with as similar as possible. That was difficult, but a similar couple of bowls are fusing as I type. I do hope they get a nice bowl shape when I fire them tomorrow. The blue bowl had been on the bottom of the three shelves and one on the top shelf managed to drip some very big lumps of red down past the second shelf and onto the blue bowl. It really is a mess. I will have to think about a rescue package for it tomorrow. The bowl from the top shelf is now in the bin. I'm too unhappy with it to use it at all.

The afternoon was spent with our progress mob. We're trying to get a community garden up and running, but it just seems to drag on and on.. Time will tell if we succeed.

night all xxx

Shirley, back in the 1980's, hurt my back badly and couldn't walk. They wanted to fuse parts of my spine to fix it, telling me if they didn't do it would be in pain for the rest of my life and probably crippled. Only went to the quack to get some xrays to see the extent of the problem and had to fight to get the xrays, which resulted in one of the osteopaths at our clinic relieved the problem and with exercises and management techniques, had few problems since. Now have a great osteo who keeps these ageing bones in reasonable condition.

I have completely lost the plot after todays ph calls and utter incompetence either of one or two or the whole bloody lot of the "medical profession" No return calls from anyone. had a ph consult with GP who said he had only received the blood test which showed nothing exciting ???? Rang the specialist and he has not got any results. Then this arvo had a call from GP rooms to say she had rang the A&E dept and got same answer as me "can't access that info" so she rang the soec labs and guess what? "NONE of the samples have been tested yet" WTF  She said she would make another ph consult on Friday as by then all results should be done. I have never heard anything so pathetic in all my life, the system is Phuked. Every time you are given 4 lots of IV a/b's you are always followed up with oral a/b's. I agree some Drs are all about their interests other than the patients but I do my research on every Specialist that will touch my body Also with help from my medical friends who can access info we can't. AJ has been a fantastic support and with her knowledge we have been very lucky. Seeing her tomorrow and G can have a treatment as well. She also said that she has noticed a lot of nurses quitting nursing due to the orders to "cut costs" meaning the patients are missing out on tests etc. EG the lady Dr in A&E was going to send Gman for a CT to see if anything was happening at his op site (inside) but the specialist said that was not necessary, thinking about that comment mine is WHY ? Will be asking him that when we see him next week. G's temp is slowly coming down 37.2 and bp 166/76 . Enough of this, we have had some nice rain and the plants are loving it. David we borrowed the trap off RNBob usually used for possums but it works for cats as well. Have just caught the one cat so far. Our friendly possum is never up this end of the yard and she is so cute with her baby on her back. :) She gets a 1/4 apple and some porridge oats in her bowl up the peppercorn tree. Looks like we shall be doggie sitting for a week before we head off at the end of the month Have just put the air con on, 1st time this year for heating and electric blanket might even get a run as it is getting rather cool. Tanks please say hi to Doon for us please she is a lady so enjoy the laughter. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight NP x

Problem with all the native birds visiting our house is they sit along the balustrading & crap all over the deck & guess who cleans it up.
I have water permanently in the garden out the front for all wildlife to drink & a couple of regular magpies hang around my feet when I’m hanging wash on the line.

Dotty, you keep at them. Incompetence is not an option , but a choice made by super lazy medicos or those who only think with their bank balances in mind. Stay sane mate xxxx

Like Shirley says, her birds are crappy and so are ours. We always get a mini flock of rainbow lorikeets stopping on our protected verandah rails whenever it rains. The mess is just revolting and because it is an upstairs balcony, it's a real PITA to get the hose up there to give it a good wet scrub. Only happens when we have warnings of visitors, or when the rain is sideways and it does a good job too.

The kiln was interesting. The two bowls that I threw together yesterday, fused really nicely. They are getting a slow slump to turn them into bowl shapes right now. Of the three disasters from yesterday, one is in the bin. One was pretty unusual looking but I decided to give it some table space. It had a lot of spikes all the way around it and in little crevasses. Much time was spent sanding and grinding all the spikes off...ggggrrrr. The super weird one, well it has a lot of character and a super crazy shape. I really like how it looks so different, but it's pretty useless at the moment. It will get fused onto a piece of clear glass, to make it into a more usable shape and probably turned into a bowl.

Deborah in Qld we had swallows nesting in the carport so went to the cheap shop and bought the largest rubber snakes and placed them in the rafters. That stop the nesting and resting quickly. Cheers Robert

Pretty good day today. Sat out in the sun with Brian and watched the birds bombing each other over some chucked out bird seed, G is also feeling brighter :D No cats caught last night but did catch a blackbird. Had a chat to HTFFBO and she is in Melb visiting. Her back is still being a pain but she is a stubborn ol gal and has slowed up a bit. She might be heading this way but if you know her as I do then hhhmmmmm we shall see. Deborah are you able to use some of your little blobs for paper weights? Has anyone watched the yank show on Extra 097 Info and entertainment? 2 chubbies cooking pastas and ice cream. and the nit wit audience all gooing and gnarring as if they have not eaten in 10 days. OK bed time no BOB so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks glad you are home safe and all stocked with food and yummies and all went well. x :D

Dot, my sculpture thingys are great paper weights. To make the heavy round ones takes a lot of kiln times and I haven't had a lot of success with making them. Glad you had a good day.xxxx

I made the mistake of actually believing and ad. It claimed to be two tradies with a warehouse in Western NSW somewhere (did name a town). Truly the vaccuum looked really great, so I sent out my $99.99 with free postage three weeks ago. It arrived today. What a piece of rubbish and it came directly from China, not some country warehouse at all. I have contacted paypal and asked for a total refund. I am so fed up with these crooks who think that we are easy targets. Not this granma, she aint easy or a target!

We did our grocery shop today, that was painful, but all done now.

The kiln worked out really well. I now have a couple of blue bowls for the stall. I had a message from a lady from the local scouts, needing to buy a present for someone. They needed the gift by Sunday. After a bit of haggling about what she wanted to buy, I arranged for her to visit us. She bought a lovely sandwich tray and was happy when I added a small jewellery set to sweeten the deal.

That's been the day.

nighty night xxx

Deborah I have got to the stage of not believing anything we are told these days, it all boils down to $$$ each and every time, then when something goes wrong they don't want to know you and you have to fight like hell to even get heard. The spray painting man came today to have a look at the bathrooms and kitchen and from what he said it seems a waste of effort and $$ to have this method done. Maybe all it might take is a splash of paint to perk things up so might get a sample pot or 2 and shall take it from there. Gman is still a bit knackered but as long as his appetite is there then so is he. GP ringing in the morning and I have written a few Q's down to be asked. We are both in the circle of Dr's visits again OMG it is never ending. After June there will be a 3 mth break from them all. Possum trap reset tonight .Freezer in the bus getting started up tomorrow so I can stock up before our trip to Vic, mostly meat, vegs, and ice cream. And the booze of course under the bed. All winter clothing now in and ready for the cold. Time to get the eyes tested again, might go back to bifocals. I think I may have Supersparky's problem, I put the glasses down then cannot find the dam things. Hope all the sickies are getting better. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Pet-els x :D
