Noticed this article this morning in the daily mail and on international news sites, searched through the abc but no mention of it.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/arti ... leton.html
These quotes are exerts from the article.
"'Cases of the disease have shot up by 30 percent in people under 50 over the last 20 years - with high profile patients including Princess Kate Middleton, 42.
Globally, Australia has seen the highest number of early-onset cancer diagnoses in the world, with a rate of 135 per 100,000 people."
"A new study by experts from Washington University in St Louis found that the generations with higher cancer rates have cells and tissues in their body that are old beyond their years.
"In other words, people born after 1965 - aged 59 or younger - may be biologically older than their chronological age."
"Faster aging may be due to more stressful lifestyles and poorer mental health, obesity, sedentary lifestyles and junk food consumption."
This is a very worrying trend worldwide and may have dramatic repercussions for future generations, returning to shorter life spans as previously seen before modern medicine came along. One of my sons died recently from cancer, he dumped the good diet he was brought up on and took up a normal junk food diet before 20 and it killed him.
Girls are maturing and menstruating younger every year, as are boys and everyday you read of more young people being diagnosed with cancer, or just dropping dead when they seem to be fit and healthy. It doesn't seem to matter where they live, rural or urban, the trend is growing and doesn't look stoppable considering world societies run on a profit growth economic formula and not a healthy formula.
When you add the foods supplied by welfare agencies around the planet are low grade, heavily processed and contaminated, it's no wonder those poverty and violence stricken places are having really high illness and death rates. I'd say air and water pollution are playing a part in this and the elephant in the room plastics, when you see so many people carrying plastic water bottles which give off cancer causing chemicals when subjected to warming conditions, like sunlight.
What are our politicians and medical profession doing about it, nothing just silence and continue down the pharmecutical junk food profit growth road at any cost, hoping it will go away.
Wondering how long my grand and great grand kids have left, their diets are no different to everyone else's and it makes me very sad to see the condition they are in. Never say a word to any of them or parents about their diets, have no right but it's very frustrating to realise their lives may be cut very short because of the refusal of authorities to take action.

Also heard that there has been a break through with the 3D constructions of teeth jaws etc for patients that have had head and neck cancer, hope that one day I may be able to have something done for my teeth and jaw. Amazing what new things are cropping up. Maybe they will come up with something for real food better still a cure for all cancers. Maybe 40$million for a footy field would be better spent on research?

I can recall reading some years ago that a researcher concluded that Cancers can not survive in an alkaline body.
I know when I had my scans for Cancer I was given a big dose of glucose before the MRI
The cancer uses the sugars/acid for supper and it glows under the MRI imaging as it devours the sugars and you.
Diets have over the years become more and more acidic, of course the incidences of cancer will rise along with that.

The authors of the article could at least TRY to get the correct name for the Princess of Wales.
Her maiden name was Middleton.
Now that she’s married to William she is Mrs Catherine Windsor.

Re: Have scientists cracked cancer mystery in young people?
They've been looking for a cancer cure for about 100 years claiming it's a disease, don't think they will ever find one because it's a dietary problem and even hereditary cancers can be traced back to diet and lifestyle of forbearers. You can't create a chemical pharmecutical that will overcome the detrimental effects of unnatural fuels being consumed by humans and slowly destroying our biology.
In my opinion, cancer is the result of consuming things which are not natural to our bodies and those substances poison us. The result is effected organs begin to fail and cancer is the by product of the failure, because the unnatural substances and accumulated waste create adverse chemical reactions, make the organs or tissue rot and waste away. Few years ago read an article which claimed during autopsies, the average amount of waste stored in the body. which is actually faeces is around 18-50kg. People don't realise their fat bodies is just waste products, ie, faeces, which their bodies haven't expelled, hence the smell most heavily overweight people emit and have to use chemical smell suppressants., Which just adds more chemicals to our systems as our skins absorb any chemical that comes in contact with our skin.
We see lots of cancers cause by environmental and workplace pollution, because unnatural chemicals enter our bodies and create havoc. So it's a logical conclusion to determine it's the same with the chemically saturated foods we consume having the came effect, they are not designed for our biological bodies, which require natural organic sustenance to function healthily. Just about every bit of food we purchase from supermarkets has been subject to come form of chemical additives.
When it comes to red meat products and diaries, they are subject to antibiotics, chemical drenches, as is the foods (grass) and additives they eat and all those chemicals have labels saying they are poisonous and dangerous. Yet we consume those chemicals in everything we eat, unless you only eat organic foods and even those today are subject to environmental pollution. I laugh at some of the claims of organic produce, sure it may have been produced in chemically free conditions, but then it's put on trucks spewing our toxic gases and waste. transported long distances, packed in plastic which is many times subject to big temperature changes during it's journey and storage. It's a well know scientific fact plastics subject to changes if it;s temperature, particularist increased temperatures and by only a couple of degrees, release toxic cancer causing gases. These contaminate the foods and waters we consume, even organic foods that have been transported.
The best we can do is either grow our own foods, or try to source foods that have been subject to the least amount of chemicals we can and avoid buying anything that comes in plastic wrapping or containers that may have been subject to temperature changes during processing or transport. It's not that hard to do, maybe harder in urban areas, but I've found on my travels finding organic or unsprayed foods relatively easy to obtain. All you have to do it ask around small towns and you soon find some decent food growers.
Sorry about the tone of this post, but those are the scientific facts and we all should realise what our true health situation is and if we want a better outlook and future, change our approach to what foods we consume. To me anything is better than being subject to constant pain, slowly deteriorating organs and tissue and consuming chemical pharmaceuticals which rarely have a positive outcome, as they all have harmful side effects. It's our bodies that do the healing and we have to aid our bodies so the best healing environment is provided for it, not just have the symptoms covered and hope for the best.

Re: Have scientists cracked cancer mystery in young people?
Remember many years ago when newspapers and magazines had proof readers, who found and fixed spelling and grammar mistakes. Today there's nothing like that and the amount of spelling, bad grammar and ridiculous articulation of facts, is at pandemic proportions. It seems very rare to find news that is not riddled with mistakes, misquotes and of course false reporting.

Yes, I noted the “exerts” (should be “excerpts”), but thought the mash-up with the Princess’ name was a greater howler…

Re: Have scientists cracked cancer mystery in young people?
Interesting observation.
My post was referring to the professional side of writing and I'm no where near a professional writer, or want to be. Was pointing out a fact viewable in many news releases today produced by paid writers, not the average persons post.
I'm an uneducated type, don't scrutinise everyone's post for mistakes, as long as the message can be understood, to me that's all that counts. No way would hold myself up as being as literate as those who have had an education, but my education is in the real world, not just from a school room.

Re: Have scientists cracked cancer mystery in young people?
You have to wonder who actually uses facts these days and who just Googles a subject until it heads down the rabbit hole with compounding alternate truths until the required level is reached.
This data analysis https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/canc ... te-who-mdb calls B/S on the increase in cancer deaths, but diagnosis of cancer these days compared to the 50's and 60's would obviously be better and cancers that might have led to an early death can now be treated and often put into a holding pattern or stopped in its tracks.
Cancer diagnosis is no longer a death sentence, but news articles love to link them together to appear much worse than what is the reality, cancer deaths are decreasing, not increasing.
