Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

It is freezing outside but the aircon is doing it's job inside. Nothing much done today repotted a few hoyas and that is about it. Rosy dog is in her bed happily crunching on a dried pigs snout  BOB on tomorrow night :) Nothing in the cat cage again, I just want to get the ginger ninja from next door, once should see it off for good. Nothing on tv so might just have a snooze before bed time  Both Flo and George have dozed off. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight RnB hope you are back to fighting fit again x :D

Went into Murray Bridge Spec Savers to get trained on how to put the contact lense in the left eye and how to take it out again .... tried to take it out last night but wasn't sure if I'd had a win or not, to tired to put up with making the eye any sorer, so off to bed.
Woke up early hrs, as usual, tried to read the book on the phone with the glasses, couldn't seem to focus, without the glasses, I could sort of read, but I could do that anyway, so didn't think might about it.
Tried the 'puter this morning, same deal, couldn't read anything properly with the glasses, a bit better without.

Working on the motorhome today, I noticed if I held things close, I could see the fine detail, also realised I could read the small screen on the Junsi that tells me the voltage of the eight cells ... that was one of the frustrating things before, I'd have to find my reading glasses or those cheap magnifying glass you get from the servo etc, so it appears the contact lense is still in there .... but the instruction were, make sure you don't go to sleep with them in, you will wake up with a sore eye .... but that is not the case. The annoying things now are, the focal length is wrong, I need the item to be up close to read it, looking at the key board is blurry and the screen seems to be a mix of the two eyes, either eye can sort of read the text, but a combination of the two is not too bad
and
I can't seem to get the stupid thing out of my left eye .... I'm a bit concerned with sleeping with it in for second night, they are disposable type designed for 8 hrs use, it has been in for 30 hrs now ....

Dot, what sort of bait are you using to lure said moggy into your trap? Some nasty cheap Korean tuna might help. xxxx

Terry, hope you get the lens thingy fixed soon. Sounds quite concerning for you.

We have finally made a small profit for the weekend. Not planning on throwing a party just yet.
It was freezing cold yesterday and numbers (& $$$) were down considerably. Today the sun came out and so did the customers. We eventually made a small profit, but it was hard work. We realise that people are needing to feed and clothe families etc so not too upset. We also recognise that in a poor year we still have to get out there to keep our names in people's minds. We will continue to do our events and see how good or bad they can be,

From Shirley's posts, seems like home was really wet, so we didn't lose a weekend at home. It would have been an inside lair day anyway.

night all xxx

Sounds like you will be doing a lot of reading n writing on official papers then Dot, poor you. Nothing worse than government legalese and crap questions that really have only one right answer, so impossible to fill out forms. Lots of luck mate xxxx

We came home easily in the middle of the day. His lordship was just too tired to put the van away properly. It's parked halfway down the drive, waiting for the rav 4 to be connected to move it round the yard to it's secret hiding space. PITA, but that's what he decided to do.

I have just ordered a new batch of business cards, so I guess that means we will continue doing this driving around the country side for a while yet.

Good night one and all xxx

Busy day Dot. Sounds like a good rest is the cure mate xxxx

We had one of those stoopid jobs days. First was to get the van in it's proper hidey hole. That had to wait while his nibs mowed the grass under where the van lives. I hadn't realised just how long the grass had become and that we had a few inches of rain here during the weekend. Van is now neatly tucked up in it's proper spot with very few dramas, so that was good. Some times it works first go and others we don't talk about ;)

Next , the solar battery man. He thought we were still away, so had no research yet...gggrrrrr. Next week I have scheduled him for some serious talks.

Following on from that, it's time to restructure our electricity plan . Long phone call with the lovely Aussie man at origin and our plan has been worked out for another year, or until I get peed off with them.

Had a very long chat with our shares guru about some takeover by seven group of our boral shares. Boring. After much discussion, it's all settled, but what a time waste that was. It's only the kid's inheritance that we were playing with.

Then I was very naughty and ordered some more sparkly glass. That was much more fun :D

nighty night xxx

A very quiet day again, Flo dropped Rosy off for a week while she visits her sister in Melb. Brian has already put her in her place:) She has gone to bed next to George and Brian will be with me :) I am a proud claytons granny to my claytons copper daughter in NZ, both of her boys have been picked for the defense forces rugby match in Sydney tomorrow. had to put their pics up :) Tomorrow we are spreading the clay breaker around before the supposedly before the rain arrives   As usual the promised quote from the tree man didn't materialize as he didn't turn up nor phone. He's off the list now and on my DO NOT USE list. Deborah I got some stinky canned fish for the trap but with Rosy here I doubt if the cat will come near. Rosy is a fantastic ratter and mouser,Hope you give the solar man heaps. Yesterday in K Mart there were 3 teens all racing around the shop chucking stuff here and there until they got too close to me so then I told the boy it wasn't a play ground and to stop acting like kids. They continued so I went to the people at the shop entrance and told them about the rat bags. She told me that the security people that are in thhe shopping centres were NOT permitted into the stores any more because of the recent stabbings etc. She said she had contacted their union wanting some security for their workers. What is happening these days?? Anyway time for bed, have a good dawn service if you go. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight 2ft 6" x :D

Dottie,
Part of the problem with ratbag kids running amok is that we’re not allowed to give them a clip around the earhole!
Pity…
Even grabbing them by the arm and wagging a finger in their face would get you a charge of assault!
🙄

Maybe if it happens again you could ‘accidentally’ trip one as they rush past… 😉😡
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Even if I did get charged, I think a few weeks in jail would not bother me, headlines, "old grandmother serving time in jail for thumping a rat bag teenager" but I am so sick of the rat bags doing what ever they want. The shop lady said the staff are scared and that is not right . Anyway watched the Anzac day footy Bombers v Pies, edge of seat game but happy a draw rather than a point pies win. Had AJ appointment this arvo she was very pleased with my x/rays. FOI papers being dropped in tomorrow at the A&E dept, now they have 30 days. Then over to my GP at Birdwood then back to Mt Barker for our dyke cuts again before cleaning up the house before heading off for Taggerty. My grandboys lost the rugby game to Aust today in Sydney 22-16 but they played a good game .Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Deborah x :D
