Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Just used Mr Google to find out what the Chinese guy said. According to Google it is "Northern/ Northern talker"
So, not really much to say at all.

The secret to a long life is doing that thing you wanted to do, today, put off that thing you didn't want to until tomorrow, live every day like it might be the last, but keep in mind, if you do wake up tomorrow, there will be consequences, will you be able to live with them?

If you don't, life will always seem to have been too short, the consequences question will have more possible results, the longer you keep living for today. Not every decision was a good one, but you won't regret not having tried that experience at least once, just try to learn from them when the result seems similar to the last "not so good" choice you made for that day ;)

Life is as long as the yesterdays and today, today is the only one where your life choices will have an effect, you can't change yesterday, but tomorrow will be the first chance you will have to look back at the choices you made today. Aim to minimise the regrets, but the choices you made yesterday are in the past, use all you experienced from the todays of the past to set the course you plan to take today ....

Think I'd better get a cloth to wipe the corners of my mouth, I sure dribbled a lot of crap just then eh

Or you could just say what I have said to a few of my mates as they prepare for their last day's, "f..k we had fun getting old, didn't we."
If you could live your life over again, and know what you know now, would you do pretty much the same things again? I reckon I probably would.

There's many things I wouldn't do again if had my life over, mainly because of the effects it had on others mostly. Then again I'm what I am to day because of those things, the difference is I learned from them and never made the mistakes again, well mostly that is. Not sure if I'm a better person or just a never ending mistake maker. Which makes the learning experience more demanding and places the future in the wonder what happens next basket, which is always interesting.

The real secret to long life is good health and always learning and changing, so we can adapt to the coming future. What we are today determines our future and there's never a tomorrow, just a past and present and the present is never stable always changing and becoming the past constantly.

Are you one of the "Save it for the best" people?
My life used to be like that, then as I got past my parent's age of survival I started to realise that Now is the best time.
I see the units here in this Village being cleared of the parent's life objects, and most of it ends up in a skip or at the local Salvos, and their parents were saving those things ''for the best" in a cupboard and ( usually) never used.
So now if I have it, I use it, and if a piece of a set gets broken, well ???? I enjoyed using it.
I do wonder how many people save things for a special occasion that never seems to happen, and at the end of their life mean nothing to their inheritors, with it being disposed of either by the Salvos or the skip bins.

Today I woke up, so today is my "special day" that I'm hoping I have many more of.

So true Ron totally agree with you, we have thought exactly what you have said, we have things that belonged to my g’parents, probably many of our treasured things would end up in a skip, one wonders why we have kept some things.😂😂😂 My now 13 year old g’son for several years always gets one of my good glasses for a drink & I have thought exactly that they may as well be used, he enjoys drinking from them. :D

I only keep things which will be useful in the future, everything else gets relegated to the past, given away or via the local op shop or transfer station.

Did you forget that most women know what you said, even before you actually say it, so a corrective answer is already in the mouth when you bring it forth.
