Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
71ks to go for the BOB's, what beautiful countryside, and you think we have grape vines
The guy did come and prune the fruit trees 1hr = $50 said to spray xyz when buds appear and also when leaves appear, see if that works this year We did have a white fluff last year. Dug up the canna lilies and potted them as they go berserk in the ground. Deborah can I put the roses into big pots? or 1/2 barrels ? Bus to Murray Bridge tomorrow. With the crappy glass just make a blob. Jayco boys doing ok, no accidents yet for anyone. G saw my neck man today and after the CT and the hose poke up the nose there was nothing to be found needing attention, Given a new nasal spray to try. Keep warm everyone and care on the roads. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, a half barrel or pot that's as big as a half barrel would be great for the roses. They may need extra feeding in pots, but you already know that. Trying not to make too many blobs until I sell off some of the ones that are still in boxes. I have some ideas to try yet. Safe travels to Murray Bridge. xxxx
I have been having a pita with the solar battery problems. The new battery have to be placed outside the house, due to changed regs. The only possible spot for the battery is right where our main air conditioning unit is. Today, the man from the air conditioner company came out and I could see he doesn't really want the job (that makes it more expensive right?) . He took about an hour and half, just to work out that the best option is to move the unit around the corner and above the other air con unit. Strange thing is, this is exactly what I asked him to do, as soon as he arrived.
I am happy to have the battery outside, it's just the fuss that goes along with it. With so many houses burning down due to battery issues, I wonder how long before they insist that charging of EVs is done outside as well?
The weather is cold, cold and more cold. We had some very heavy rain this afternoon and more to follow for the rest of the week.

Goodnight Dot, good that you’re enjoying the boys on bikes, it is good to watch & the country side is amazing. Most sport is entertaining & we like watching it except cricket, we find it to slow & boring to watch, looking forward to the Olympic Games
.
We went to Newcastle today, it was freezing outside & rained on our return trip, bought an Apple phone & having problem with the fingerprint recognition, need to go back Wednesday the Genius didn’t have time today to complete the repair unless I stayed until 3.40 to see someone else, had Bruce with me & to long to wait & I would of arrived home to late.
Rain predicted all day tomorrow so doubt we’ll get our annual shield game in against Halekulani, only hoping it pours in the morning & same is cancelled, we’re all to old to play in cold wet weather, coming on & off the rink.
I went to bed at 10pm, even took a sleeping tablet, may have dozed but still wide awake, time to start counting sheep
Good night everyone.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
How's the sheep counting going Shirley? I've been having the same sleeping issue for quite a while now. I'm going to ask the dentist about one of those mouthguard type of anti snoring things, next time I go see him. I know I have sleep apnoea and having a sip or two in the evening makes it worse.
Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
nice day today but still cold. Headed off to Murray Bridge this arvo and, on the way, noticed a motorhome pulled up on the other side of highway (divided) and a woman stretching her legs. Got to the caravan repair place on time and the man came out and took pics of the bus from every side, checked the vin # and remeasured the door. Said he would ring when the new door was in etc. He said that the insurance people wanted all those details now ??? Headed home an noticed the M/H was still on the side of the road so I pulled up , they were from Mannum and were heading off to NSW but they had a tyre problem (shredded to bits) so the man had to go all the way back to Mannum to get a spare plus another one for just in case
Hmm I thought Mannum , must be something wrong with the people there, who doesn't take a spare? the man was having trouble getting his nuts off and G suggested he was turning the denutter the wrong way, took the guy a few more grunts to try going the other way to admit his cock up. Asked if they wanted any help lifting the old tyre off and the spare on but they said no thanks and with that we headed off. It is freezing tonight and I will not be long out of bed either. BOB's will be a tough slog tonight as there are some good hills in tonight's stage. Found out last night that the Neighbours a few houses over the road are both in care home. Both of them were big smokers and boozers so I guess their issues are results of their habits. He had a stroke about 2 yrs ago. Now he has bad dementia and she is having blackouts all the time. Makes one look at your own mortality. Off the spooky topic so take care everyone and goodnight x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Freezing cold wet day, we all made the effort to get to Halekulani about 20 minutes drive, we only just finished morning tea, when down came the rain, 5 minutes later were told the greens were closed, new date TBA.
Unfortunately David counting sheep doesn’t help, really frustrating when you take a prescribed sleeping tablet & still don’t sleep, it’s a real health problem that affect many of us aged folk,
no answer yet.
Goodnight all, here’s hoping.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
It wasn't much of a day here, weather wise. Cold drizzling rain nearly all day.
Shirley, you are spot on. Not getting even a half decent sleep is so frustrating. I really don't have a proper answer, yet.
Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, bus sorted soon enough to start planning another adventure? Look forward to seeing where you are next headed. xxxx
Shirley, sorry about your bowls day. It sure was a crappy day here. The temp never made it past 15 degrees and I am sure that the rain had icicles in it. bbbbbbrrrrrrrr is the only way to describe today. Your iphone can be helped at the shops at L.Munmorah. The people in the phone booth are very helpful and certainly a much easier drive than going into Newie. They repair screens too.
As it was so cold, I decided to have an inside day. The pendants from earlier in the week were waiting for the bits to be glued on. I started, but my fingers didn't want too participate, so I gave up. They will get glued when I can do it easily. Not a lot of anything happened after that.
stay warm where ever you are

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
What a freezer of last night and another one expected tonight. Did 2 loads of washing but put it on 2 clothes horses and drying nicely in front of the fire. Potted those roses and gave them a good drink of seasol so they should be happy, also dug up more canna lilies to put out of the house for free. They will go quick. Good weather for the BOB's tonight and straighter roads, my boy has the yellow jersey as thrashed them yesterday (the pog #1) and my other boy #8 Wault V .A. Just been a prang and the Pog just missed it. phew. Will get out into the bus tomorrow and clean it up a bit . HTFFBO rang this arvo, she is doing ok. 55ks to go and the sky is looking grey, hope it doesn't rain. Comp says 7deg. Time for a hot chocolate then off to bed. Take care everyone and keep warm. Goodnight everyone x
