Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Being a mechanic, it was probably more when did I first wake up in the morning and my back still hurt ... I'm guessing around 12 or 13, built a flying fox from one tree to the other across the back yard ..... seems I learnt a quite painful lesson about the stretch till it snaps quality of clothesline wire ... naturally, it was sit on T bar affair, so landed on the base of my spine and jarred my back all the way to my neck .... but then there were a few pushbike big high speed over the handlebars events with the front mudguard dropping over the front tyre, always on the fast down hill part through the bumps .... still in primary school then so 9 or 10 maybe

I was 17, Terry. What about you?

I proved conclusively that a motorcycle and a semi-trailer cannot occupy the same space at the same time!

Just realised while typing this, that was almost 60 years ago!😳
I was about 25, and showing off to a girl. Her brother could lift a Holden 6 cylinder motor. I thought I could, but proved to all and sundry that I was having delusions. Well over 40 years ago.

Now here is one to get your thinking juices flowing ...... Have you ever approached a trailer with a sign "caution horses" and thought about what it could mean?

Now add to this, the council truck with the sign "caution grass cutting" and a tractor with a slasher on the back mowing the grass on the traffic island and the side of the road.

Does this mean they have genetically engineered horses that only eat that grass from the traffic island or road side cut by the "caution grass cutters" and ... developed a grass they have named "caution grass" that only grows on roadsides and traffic islands and can only be cut by "caution grass cutting" machines and fed to "caution horses"? Sound like a yuppy upper class conspiracy now I've spelt it out for you .......

Did I mention we have found a very good cardboard-box port that mixes well with a very rough red, all from Aldi

Bernie.
It's a kind of weird feeling that I get when I walk into an Aldi store in NSW or Vic, and remember all over again that they sell grog as well as food.

David,
Grog IS food! 😋
It’s made with very healthy grapes!
Think of it as a healthy glass of grape juice… aged a bit to improve the flavour.
😉

Totally agreed Ray. Might be drinking matured grape juice as we speak. Well you know what I mean. We might be down that way midweek next week. Maybe.....? Any new Lasts in your collection?
