Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Conked again yesterday, saw GP today she suspects that my tiredness and no appetite etc is the result of the covid we had, said a few of her older patients are taking 1-3 years to get back to normal so thats me out  Have a contract on our block, no haggling at all, wait and see. Called into Mt Barker to pick our glasses up and the whole centre was in darkness, power out in most of Mt Barker so we just came home. Tanks, thanks for sharing, Doone's health woes give her our best wishes please. BOB's on heading for the hills and my boys are doing well. # 8 Wout V,A. (Visma) He got 2nd yesterday, #1 is the Pog UAE (yellow jersey leader) Going to be a great race hopefully no more bad crashes.. Got the OK for the insurance claim for the bus door, I waited to speak to a human for 55minutes (Apia) Hope you have a good sales weekend Deborah and all your medicals were positive for you. Good thinking Shirley for not playing in the cold, don't need any sickies. Terry can you put your travel adventures and little mechanical things in your MH thread I am getting confused going from here to there and back again, I am totally lost with these cars you are driving and towing etc and of course we need pics well I do  Have a bit of thunder around tonight and strong wind again. Grouch for tonight, I don't care what political party for whom you vote for but I do not like some of the current degrading remarks about Joe Biden and his health issues, he is a human being with aged related issues but so many people are just downright cruel. End of rant :D Off for a nice shower then into a warm bed to watch the finish of the BOB's. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Vik351 x :D

Dotty, It took me a long time to get over the tiredness of our first attack of covid. Closer to 18 months would be my experience. Our endocrinologist on Wednesday, told us the same thing. She is treating a lot of patients who had covid in the last few months and says it just affects us all differently, so don't feel badly about the tiredness, it's just the Chinese sending a reminder of their germs. My humble opinion of the Biden story is that the man deserves respect, but unless he stands down, the country will get an idiot in charge of their nuthouse. If he stands down, maybe there is some chance of a rational leader. Time will tell..xxxx

We spent most of the day setting up the stall at Gosford. They have given us very long tables (that's great) but they are very narrow. Not a lot of stock would fit on the tables. As I was putting out my favourite sculpture, a lovely man came to visit. He had the stall opposite us at Penrith and apparently had been eyeing my work. After telling his wife about it, she gave her blessing to buy it. That means, I had the first sale of the event before the doors are even opened. The sculpture is the blue/red one amongst the plates.

Once we came home, I went to the kiln and was pleased with the plate/bowl that is finished and now packed to be put on the table tomorrow. I love it, but my photo is not a good depiction at all. The distinctions between colours is very subtle and the fine lines throughout are great.

Will be interesting to see what the customers think about it.

Get some rest Dot and don't stay up all night watching those bums on bikes xxxx

Thanks Shirley for the encouragement. We had a good time at Gosford today, but not a record sales day that's for sure.

Many lovely comments about the two latest bowls/plates but not a lot of money was flowing our way. I still find it amazing, how these people can flaunt multiple tats and wear designer branded clothes, but can't really afford to buy from us. Yes, some are doing it tough, but surely you wouldn't come to a sales event if you couldn't afford to buy.

We left home this morning at a time when I am not usually awake. When 3 pm reached, I was ready for a nap. I took a few extra walks around the stalls to try to stay awake. It was genuinely a very slow afternoon. Hope it's not a rerun tomorrow. Some profit would be a good idea. :o :o

Rest up Dot and stay warm xxxx

Thanks David, your wish is my command.

Today was a record breaker for us. Usually Sundays are so quiet you could dance naked around the stalls, but today was even busier than yesterday. Even better were the numbers of people who returned from yesterday, heading straight for our stall. They also spent three times more than yesterday's crowd. We had the best takings of any event this year.

The thing that we sold consistently was hairclips. They have sat doing nothing on the stall for months and suddenly, we have sold at least 8 of them. At $30 each, that was a nice profit straight away. I think I may have to create some more of them, as the display is now very sparse. That will be a happy replacement job.

Early night is happening now,
so night all xxx

Deborah that bowl has turned out very nicely, the red is lovely. Got up before lunch today and sleuthed around for a few minutes till the feet (ankles) told me to get off them. GP gave me a few samples of "Pain Away" Forte + Joint & muscle pain relief cream. Topical Anti- Inflammatory. Aust made... Has a lot of natural stuff in it like Aleo vera, Hypericum perforatum, Arnica Montana, Lavender oil, Camphor, Rosemary oil, Eucalyptus oil, Cajuput oil, Melaleuca oil, Boswellia Carterii extract and Jojoba oil , vitamin E.. (also in a spray) Worth a try I guess. . Heading to my massage lady this week, watch out neck pain is a coming. Watching the BOB up the big mountains , Gman is in bed watching the Tennis. Siman Yates from Jayco and his twin Adam another team are doing a good job but not good enough to beat my boys   Great to hear you had a prosperous sales day Deborah. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight NP and puppies x :D

We’re watching the tennis too, Alcaraz has won first 2 sets easily, the Joker is playing better, 3rd set on serve.

I agree Deborah the red bowl look really good, sounds like your customers today were younger ladies buying hair clips :? Pleased you had a profitable day.

Alcaraz has won Wimbledon, changing of the guard.👏👏👏

Goodnight time for bed.💤💤💤💤 should be Good morning :D

Dot, the pain away stuff seemed great until I got a whiff of it. Massive sinus attack caused by all the smelly ingredients. Hope it works better for you. xxxx

Shirley and Dot, glad you like the interesting bowl. It certainly had a lot of attention, but nobody bought it. One lady had a raffle win and scored my $30 voucher. She was so happy to come see me. She chose a lovely platter and had to give me extra dosh, so very happy me too.

Our profits were so good and now I can't get down to the shed to use up some of my glass.

Doc tells me that the MRI was not good. It showed two tears either side of my knee , on the meniscus, and that there are a lot of extruding bits of meniscus on each side of the knee. Tried to get appointment with surgeon, for advice and none available until September and physio is still not back from the school holidays. Either way physio should give me some relief, but in the meantime, the stairs are not my friends.

Shirley said it was cold, but she didn't tell you that it's now 8 degrees and feels like minus 8 with a frozen wind and no clouds. Probably get a sea haze in the morning. I will be in my warm bed until that haze disappears.
