Yet another fly in the ointment ..... the strange shaped concertina bellows looking hose that links the throttle body to the LPG mixer, is shredded .... must have been a big backfire in a past life. It was wrapped in a roll of black racer tape, then a layer of appeared to be resin impregnated fibreglass mat, then a roll of silver racer tape. Looked .... sort of "ok" from the outside, but the rubber hose was starting to come away on the inside and for certain would have ended up wedged between the throttle plate and the throttle housing and make for some very exciting driving somewhere up the road.

Unwrapped it and .... yeah, needs a new one, chasing it up from the US and it looks to be around AUD$200 plus freight :o Appears to be genuine US Ford only part, so I'll get a set of lifters at the same time ..... that way the ones I ground will not give a spec of trouble from now until the end of this engines life ..... if I don't, I'll need them as soon as I fit the air connecting pipe thingy

Terry, why don't you just use rubber hose. We used that back in the old days, between mixer and throttle body.
1" id rubber hose, from memory. Ya got me with the, order a set of lifters though. Can't argue with that logic.

This is what it looks like Dave https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/other ... c2z9b642ba That throttle body is dual throat and big, it has to feed in enough air for 6.8 ltrs @ 5,500 rpm.
The throttle body is 140mm x 90mm flat oval shape with 2 x 85mm throttle plates, the rubber hose thingy tapers down to 90mm diam to the adaptor for the LPG mixer, an Impco 425.
If I had my welding gear, I might have been able to fabricate an adaptor to make the oval into a large round opening while tapering it down to the 90mm, that might be the way it will have to go if I can't get this thing out of the states within a reasonable time.

Terry I have no idea if you have the right part number but if so, if you go to Ebay USA (www.ebay.com) & put that number in there might be a lot with different prices/shipping etc.
Even AU Ebay has one listed for $137 with $33 shipping.

Yet to get a reply to my email

https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/fo ... 42-ba.html I am in contact with the to see if they will ship to Australia .... these are the only ones out of 6 so far that at least acknowledged receiving my question

They all ship internationally.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/195259241793? This is a good price. This is the same people as the first ebay reference Just change the shipping country. easy peasy. Sure, but then I'd have to go that country to collect it ....They do not ship to Australia
I've been trying to find someone who will ship it here since 3pm yesterday. I can find a heap of them in a Google search, but no email replies yet about the shipping to Australia question
