Don't need to keep any more 'stuff' over the front axle Jon. It's already on its limit when the fuel tank is full.
In the later models the factory obviously realised their error and shifted a lot of stuff to the rear of vehicle. Things like fuel tank, house batteries and genset.

There's fix, cash the genset in and use the money to buy batteries. House batteries from this century are a lot lighter than those from the 19th century, so you probably wouldn't to relocate them ;) 8-)

Change the air conditioner for something low line and create a solar shade roof you have transformed your Winnie into a 21st century RV

Install one of those swing out TV brackets.

Then, you have some more accessible storage space behind the TV.
Not a recommended location for house batteries, nor a fully kitted out toolbox, but maybe for the satbox and DVD player.
What size TV do you need Dave, we have one we removed from the bedroom, complete with swing out bracket, Margaret wanted the spot on top of the cupboard for a sort of dressing table area.

The opening in the cabinetry is 700 x 420mm. Whatever the replacement is, will be fixed. Nowhere substantial enough to mount a bracket off. I'm looking at a unit from LG that will fill the hole. Just have to find time to go to the shops and check the sound. Some of the newer TV's have a tinny sound. My hearing is bad enough already without adding to the problem.
We don't have a big factory fitted genset, just a little 2 kw Honda. It's big enough to run the crappy Coleman roof rattler. That's also on the list of 'needs to be better'.

So we finished up with a TCL 32" Smart tv set. It has 2 HDMI outputs, USB out and AV in sockets. Most 32" TV's we looked at this week were around $245.
I have found that there is no real standard for how the new TV's are mounted. Our old LG tv had a 100 x 100mm wall mount footprint on the back. Some of the new ones are 200 x 100mm or 100 x 200mm. And they aren't all set on the same horizontal plane. I had to redrill our mounting plate 10mm lower. But now it's done and dusted. The sound quality isn't too bad and I can Bluetooth it straight to my hearing aids if I want to.
All in all, not bad for the price.

Good job Dave.

A quick trip to Bernie's place for a weekend and he can fix the hole for you.... but , I reckon just spray it black.

I dunno what hole he's even talking about, Bernie.
I thinks he's just a bit bored.

Looks the goods ! You didn't actually disclose the price?
I'm really not sure it has USB out or HDMI out?
Press the source (input!) button & see what is in the list?
Model number?
