Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

10;minutes to midnight, the yobos in the bay have been letting fireworks off since before 9pm every half hour, guess it’s only once a year & they certainly sound very merry

Dot, you sound tired, too much new year for you?   Have a good sleep mate xxx

We had such a hot day here with high humidity, so very little was done.
I wondered down to my shed to check on the sculpture that I tried to repair with a bit of glue. Lucky for him, that's all it needed. The sculpture is now packed into a carry bag with a thick piece of styrafoam under it and lots of bubble wrap around it. Hope that saves it, better still, would be for someone to buy it, then I could make another one.

I also put some new stainless steel strainers, mesh pieces and trays into the kiln to do a test firing. They are not always what the labels say they are. Anyways this lot have proved they will work with glass with very small amounts flying off and wrecking the glass pieces. They fired at 350 degrees per hour to get to 700 and off. That is the only sort of firing that I can do in hot weather. The kiln controller gets overhot when doing a slow firing and turns itself off with an overheated message. Might have to wait a bit more to get back to doing slower works.

We met our previous tenant at the waterfront for a couple of hours. It was lovely chatting away while watching the sun setting and the ducks bringing their families out for a last minute swim. She is house sitting a couple of doors up, so a catch up was definitely needed.

Hope you all have a great new year and all the health issues get sorted quickly with a very prosperous and healthy , happy new year.xxx
Deborah

Have fun with the car service Dot. Don't like the sound of that alarm awakening you at some ungodly hour. Keep smiling mate xxxx

Had another stinking hot and humid day. The lake scene was so peaceful and not even a jetskier until quite late today. The sups and canoes were all out and having lovely quiet fun, so that kept the entertainment going. I managed to hem a couple of pairs of pants and a couple of new tshirts. The shirts were a mixture of shirt and a mini skirt, either way, I lopped off a fair amount of fabric and re-hemmed them. More my style now. Sewing machine behaved itself and I only had to thread the needle twice, so not too bad a sewing session!

Stay cool out there,
night all xxx

Well Dot, did you break the computer? Seems ok, so far. You finally got a short post in. Hope you can get a longer post tonight mate xxxx

It was humid and yucko again today. I spent the morning writing all the important dates, school holidays, jayco weekends and jewellery events onto the calendar. Took forever and a stack of different coloured texta pens and stickers...job don for another year, yahoo.

We went for a quick shop this afternoon, just a small grocery shop and collect the legal drugs from the chemist. All is put away and sorted, but it has tired me out.
Tomorrow we will be setting out our tables at our first fair for the year, nothing like diving in on the deep end. His Nibs was planning to pack the truck today, but ran out of steam. Tomorrow he will pack the truck and then unpack the truck at the venue. He isn't the only one, not quite in gear. At 22;15 I received the first message from the organisers, telling me where to park, how to get into the back of the venue to unpack etc. If this was my first time at this venue, I would be very nervous by now. I also notice a few people are now asking her if she can fit them in. The floor plan has been done and they are very hopeful. People just don't seem to be back in festival gear just yet.

More surprises tomorrow, no doubt
nighty night xxx
