Stanthorpe storm

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Stanthorpe storm

Hi Bill/William,
How did you fare in the hailstorm yesterday?
Did you have all your grapes harvested?

They must have been driving a rental car, they didn't care about all the dents and smashed windscreen.

That guy is a 'professional storm chaser' Terry. I don't think he'd give much thought to a few dents and a broken windscreen.

We are all good thanks. yesterday we bottled all our whites, over 500 bottles, with help from a couple of our vineyard partners as I broke a crucial part of my new bootling line, about the only bit I didn't have a spare for, so back to the old methods. We always have lunch afterwards, few friends drop in, lots of wine and food consumed over the next few hours, so had a nana nap afterwards. Woke to non stop thunder that went on for over an hour, but where we are, not even rain. Quite suprised to see all the reports and pics of tennis ball sized hail, only a couple of klicks from us.Nothing picked yet, looking at around 1st of nect month, which will be a full month earlier than last year. Our vineyard is hail netted anyway so probably would not have been an issue, just depends on how much weight the net has to hold, they are designed to "shrink" back to original after the hail has melted.
