Dot, hope the bloody tests give you some answers and some answers that are helpful would be even better. You are scaring me with your hot weather reports, we leave home in 2 weeks for your state, so it better get a bit cooler or we will have to hibernate until late each afternoon. xxxx

Today we got up very early to listen to the man who came to give us a quote to get the next door damages all tidied up. Our tenant used him while we were away and he did a tidy job, so happy to ask him to return. His quote for a big day's work was $300. He will certainly earn that amount too. Tip fees are included...wow.

The rest of the day was a right off. We both were up way too early and that slowed us down. I did a little bit of ironing and then relaxed with one of the books he bought me for Christmas. Called It Ends With Us. was a difficult book with bits of domestic violence in, but it covered the emotional sides as much as the physical. The end was satisfactory but hard anyway. The next book is called It Starts With Us and I am hoping that it doesn't mention any of the violence again...time will tell.

night all xxx

"tanks" ere--- Hi there David and other Forumites.
Thw Wyalkatchem temp expected for today is 45 degrees c.
WA is experiencing a heat wave. This heat will spread to the Eastern States, so in a few days, Dot, you can expect more heat.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Why thankya kindly Keith, just what we needed, more hot weather  seems I'm going to be forced to buy one of those gazebo thingies and a swampy to pump cool air through it so I can get a few jobs done before March .... I'd like to go to the https://au.everythingelectric.show/ on in Sydney early March, but the house site needs to be sorted, the batteries in the Winnie, inverter and solar fitted along with the two new awnings .... and I have around 5 weeks to achieve that ..... couldn't you keep the hot weather over for another mth or so Keith ;)

Terry,
Just stand on the highest ground near you, face west and blow as hard as you can.
(I’m told you are really good at that! 😆)

Deborah, if you have any time to spare while you are in Adelaide, try to get to the Haighs Chocolate shop in the CBD. That's if you love chocolate. There are some yummy treats in store. They also offer, from time to time a tour of their manufacturing facility just out of town. We didn't have the chance to tour, last time we were in town, but next time, look out, we're coming.
Cheers

The day started ok showered and on the way to Town for 10am, after going through more questions I was taken to a room and given a drink that didn't taste but had the special stuff in it. OK now off into the city to but a couple of boulder holders, :o $70, needless to say I turned them down after they measured me and I got the right size  Went to K mart and got 2 for $20. Too dam hot so we just went into shops and looked around in the cool. Car park was $20 for 1 1/2 hrs. Then at 3pm we got tired of just doing the zombie walk around so headed back to the cool hospital and waited to be called at 5.15pm. Laid on a table bed and gave my poor feet a rest while the machine did it's thing over my guts. Home through peak hr by 7pm had take away for tea and now I am off to the shower ready to face another day in the city for another x/r on my gut to see how far the magic stuff has moved, Have to do this till Friday as well as hit the road to see my GP. I am stuffed so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D Thanks for the heat warning NOT. You are not nice at all David telling a female to go to Haigs but ever so yummy xx

soooo.... at what temperature does chocolate melt?

Some people are talking about temps of 45-49 in WA. That's a bit hot.

49.3 at 2.02pm at Geraldton.

According to the Dr Karl show that I just watched, good chocolate melts at 45⁰ C so I'm guessing most good chocolate melted in Perth today.
The last time we were in the Haighs shop (not sure if it needs an apostrophe) we were time poor. Next time, we are doing the tour. You can too Dot, and George as well. I'll shout. :D
Cheers

Dot, this seems like a very long, drawn out procedure. Poor you and Gman. Fingers crossed for something useful to come from it. xxxx

Thanks for the suggestion David. Chocolate is a vegetable, so it has a good place in our diets....I am sure that the shop and factory will be fully air conditioned and as such, might be a good place to organise a visit. I do love a quality dark chocolate.

Those Dr Carl shows are a proper right take off a Pommy show, called Inside the Factory. Dr Carl is a heck of a lot more interesting and so much easier on the ears, we have enjoyed his series, so far.

Today our luggage was delivered and now the trip is even feeling more real. We now have something to pack our junk into. I have a world traveler for a sister, so she warned me not to put a lot of things hanging off the handle. They just cause snags and possible breakages, so her suggest is to use a bright coloured nail paint to give them some individuality. Might do a bit, but really I ordered purple for myself and then asked his nibs what colour he wanted. Of course he wanted purple too. I think our luggage will stand out anyways.

The tree that had the huge branch fall long before Christmas, is finally getting the rest of the branch removed tomorrow. Thankfully, the neighbour has realised that we are not wanting to help with this huge job and has organised for a bloke to come and do the job for her. We both have chiropractors tomorrow, so won't be able to help, even if we wanted to. It will be good to see the rest of the mess cleaned up.
Nighty night xxx
