Got half way to Elizabeth for Bobs get together and all of a sudden an overwhelming feeling of grief came over me and I just could not go any further. George had to get me out of the drivers seat and put me in the pass seat and turned around and went home. I have never reacted to anything like that before and never want to again. I felt so "out of control". G had
to let Lyn know we wouldn't be there and that made me feel worse as I really did want to support Lyn but I know she will understand. Has anyone ever had such a response :?: :(

Dot, that's a perfectly natural reaction to grief.
Everyone reacts to grief in a different way. I know a few blokes that have never ever been to a funeral. They just can't go, for some reason.
RIP Bob.
Cheers

Thanks Dave I have never been through anything like today, I think maybe because we didn't have time to digest that Bob had actually died. He was so "himself" when we saw him last only a few months ago. We always go to funerals of people we know and even partly know. This was just a "get together" and I fluffed that. Going to catch up with Lyn soon.
