It was in the mid 30's here most of the day, the humidity, although nothing like living on the NSW South Coast, sapped to energy out of me big time.
The "White House" over the trailer is now height enough for big people to walk under it, borrowed some of the concrete bases from the temporary fence at the house and used those to hold the legs on the non Winnie side, and tied the Winnie side to various bits under the body.
Made a 6mm sq conductor x 15 mtr extension to go from the power point to the welder, that greatly improved the mig welders performance .... maybe I should have plugged it into me to give me a bit more performance as well ....
Hopefully Margaret is sleeping well after the marathon 3 hrs in surgery, at least she still has the foot, hopefully now the healing will start ...... at least it was enough of a wake up call to stop smoking ..... just hope it isn't too late and the damage is reversible ......
Off to bed to try and get some sleep .... good night/morning all

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Poor AJ, it must be hard to have spent a lot for fancy clothes and see next to nothing in return for them. Dot, you are right about op shops, mostly. We have found that the little sallies in smaller towns or out of the way places are still reasonable. Red Cross deserves the biggest red cross. They really have rip off prices, so we do have a look and rarely buy. We found a big Sallies in Vineyard (west Sydney) and the prices were great. I bought a dress and that is a rare thing for me to buy, ever. xxxx
Terry, yes, I could have stood up under the centre of the roof in your first pictures. Hope Margaret is having a successful recovery.
It felt almost sacreligious to be working on Good Friday, but we did it anyway. The stall slowly set up and we were out of there by tea time. Had a salmon toasty for dinner, so at least followed some of our religious trainings. Today, we had to pinch ourselves at how many people were pushing in through to doors at ten am. The crowds were there for most of the day and they were happy to spend money. That was good. Lots of small sales and by lunchtime, we had equaled the last poor weekends total. By close of business we were smiling hugely. It felt good to be on a winner for a change. As Easter Sunday is almost as busy at church as Christmas day, we are not sure what to expect tomorrow. There will also be thugby somewhere to act as a distraction too. Fingers crossed that the sales are good tomorrow too. Sorry Dot, no pics of the latest splat plate and it sold today. I only realised after wrapping it for the lady that there were no pics. It was beautiful.....
Over this hot summer, we have lots a couple of our favourite double delight roses. I am trying to get some replacements soon. His lordship has been feeding the soil up to get it ready for planting. This is my front garden and the only roses there are all double delights. So soon I will get the search engines busy for a nursery that stocks them locally.
Another stall day tomorrow and then I will get some sleep.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Went to sleep in the chair last night so no goodnight. Well done Deborah now we all know where to go for a loan
AJ's expensive clothes have not sold like hot cakes. A big puffer jacket sold because I marked it way down to $25. Everyone must have been sleeping all day as G reported it was very quiet, one more day and that's it for those horrid garage sales. BOB's starting tonight, this race should be a good one, lots of steep hills, cobblestones and all the top riders inc my 2 have a chance for this one, very hard to pick this one. Wish it was summer again, was hoping to getting away but the water has to go away first, Isn't that right Nigel? I'm off for a hot shower now that may warm me up a bit. Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Bernie x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I hate doing garage sales Dot. Now if it's reusable, it goes to an op shop or it goes in the bin. If it's something like an electric mixer, I put a photo up on the towns f**kbook page that its' available for free. Things disappear off our fence very quickly. I really don't care if they are onsold. Someone else can benefit from my waste, especially if they are going to put some effort into selling them. Get warm Dot xxxx
I suspect some of our customers may have gone to church, but it was a ripper of a day here. More likely, they went to the beach, we are surrounded by good beaches.. We did a few small sales and they certainly added up. We smiled all the way home. Would be great if our events were all like this one. Not quite rolling in riches Dot, but I can buy some more sparkle to build some more hairclips. They have been flying off the table along with earrings I still have a few books filled with back up earrings, so will not be needing to swear in some newer earrings yet.
Looks like a quiet week here, and maybe even a few very long sleeps.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Well the end of the garage sale thank goodness. Now all G has to do is pack up the remaining stuff for their next go, IF there is another one it WILL be held at AJ's. Another cold day but not as bad as yesterday. Watched the BOB's last night as expected it was a ripper , my 2 boys did well 2nd (JUST) and the other 4th placing. The Tour de France should be the race for both of them. Sorry Deborah the Jayco boys didn't do much last night. Fush and chups for tea in honor of the pope. He didn't last long after he was getting better ? was he diabetic

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Why do greyhounds always relax in such a dignified pose.
They certainly look like they haven't a care in the world.
Good on you, both Ray and Joy, for giving them a forever home after their racing days were finished.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, I am still wondering why he was allowed out n about on Easter Sunday. The docs would have known the he was on his last breaths. The election of a new pope takes forever and are so tedious, the news will be full of it this week. Might even save us from some political rubbish too. A very good distraction to politics at home! xxxx
Today was a non event. We are just resting after the busy pace of the weekend.

I wonder what shenanigans world leaders will get up to with the distraction of the Pope dying and election of the new Pope ..... no doubt the usual suspects will take full advantage of it .....

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dottie,
The “roach” position is a common sleeping position for greyhounds — except for our two! (Note: TWO, not the four in your pic.
)
Our foster-greyhound, Jennifer, is now a thoroughly spoiled girl with her new forever parents in outer Melbourne.
Had a message from them t’other day.
They took her for her first caravanning trip for Easter.
She travelled well (as with us) and once camped very quickly learned that the van was “inside” while away from home.
If the door is closed she puts her front paws on the step to tell her parents she wants to go inside for a snooze.
Smart girl!!
They bought a demountable pen like ours which they deploy alongside the van, enclosing the door, so she can get in and out as she pleases.
