Line 1 paragraph three 'drake' typo.
Geez T1, you sure know how to attract attention. Is the MG4 another addition to the list of damaged sill panels ? I hope not.
Our Tilta has a dip built into the mesh and a 75mm box section on the end to prevent a similar event to your latest effort.
I hope you can get it off there without hurting anything or anybody.
I don't suppose you had a chance to check towball weight while you were mucking about.
Cheers

No damage to the sill rails, it's just sitting on them. The issue there is, that is the jacking points. While I'm in Murray Bridge, I'll get some more sleepers cut up to build higher stacks under the tyres in an attempt to get the tyres the same level as the trailer platform.

I have a visual of where the pieces need to be added for the front wheels to sit in and I'll add guide runners along each side to keep the steer wheels in place and some lock in chocks for the back wheels ...... that unable to reverse with the brake applied is something I need to do further research on, I believe there is a "hold" function somewhere in the menus, that would have made life easier ......

The 2250kg trolley jack lifted one side of the drawbar, so it's at least less than that ;)

A trip to the big hammer hardware shop, 4 x 2.4mtr treated pine sleepers ...... but their saw was broken. In the boot of the EB Falcon .... about 200mm too long, so exhaust fumes for the 40km return trip to Mannum

Out with the Ozito electric chainsaw, cut into 600mm lengths and this gave me enough under the tyres to tilt the trailer back on it's axle, then jack under the back of the tilt platform and that lifted the car up enough to get a piece of wood each size between the trailer platform and the chassis rail. Coffee and lunch, then with a bit of luck, I can get the scissor jack under the jacking points each side to lift the car enough to block under the wheels till level with the trailer platform. As long as the tilt function is locked down, I should be able to reverse off with jack stands under the back of the trailer chassis ...... fingers crossed

Here's to hoping that was a success. I hope you reattached it to the old Falcooon first.

Spent the afternoon replacing the inverter coolant pump on the Prius so Margaret could take Brian and the two dogs for their afternoon walk ..... the Falcoon has a rather dodgy throttle, the outer case has melted so it requires a few wraps of wire or similar to make up for the lost bit .... it requires near pushing through the floor at the moment, so not suitable for use with the crook foot.

The amount of bending and hanging upside down to get to the pump resulted in a mega headache and backache, that required medicating and a sleep.

Got the thing lifted and the sleeper pieces in place this evening, but the light has beaten me again, so the attempted reversing will be tomorrow.

The MG is off the trailer and Margaret, Brian and the dogs have taken it to do dog walking duty. Now I have to replace the plastic bit across the back that has the boot opening switch and numberplate lights in it after Brain strong armed the thing and broke all the clips  It was melted in the workshop fire anyway and I have a replacement for it already, just gotta head over to the house block to get it

Now to weld the pieces on the front of the trailer for the front wheels to locate in .....

Yeah, missed a bit in the excitement  The broken/melted bit was on the Prius and I spent some time yesterday getting it going again so it could be the vehicle for taking the dogs for their walk and shopping and ..... that sort of stuff .... but with the piece hanging off the back hatch lid, it needed to be fixed ...... still hasn't. voting and getting the MG off the trailer and getting parts to do the repair .... must have been all too much excitement, so had a sleep instead 8-)
