Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Prezackly my thoughts, Dave!
For the past 30+ years SWMBO has been railing against all the suggestions to add to the school curriculum topics which in previous generations were taught at home:
Respect for elders
Responsible drinking
Financial management
Table manners (!)
Gun safety
Road safety
Smoking/vaping dangers
What makes a family (2 mothers or fathers etc)

The list is almost endless!
Regards & God bless,
Ray

One for Ray, spotted in an MSN online article about AI mini subs to detect foreign vessels in British waters https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/technol ... 49dd&ei=57

Please write at least 4 paragraphs

"We must harness new technologies to keep pace with the threats against our critical infrastructure, national waters and way of life.

"Deploying AI to the edge of underwater constellations will illuminate the oceans and deter our adversaries."

seems they can't even edit the articles now

If blokes were completely honest, we'd all be diagnosed with OCD.

Find out why.....

I don't think it is restricted to blokes either, if we look closely at our lives and thought processes, I doubt there would be many without some trace of it .... I noticed obsessive cleaning and tidying ..... I can cross that one off  Hoarding well .... ummm ... ok, got me there  But having some control over it, no matter what your OCD thing is, means you at least accept the problem and work on keeping it under some sort of control .... there are a lot of people out there that can't accept they have a problem ..... that is the scary part .....

Nah, that's addiction to caffeine. The withdrawals can be tough if you go cold turkey, so I have to taper down over a week before fasting for an op .... the symptoms start within 12 hrs, serious in 24 hrs ..... depending how much coffee you drink, hospitalisation within 3 days .... headaches, constant vomiting, cold sweats, shaking uncontrollably and over all body fatigue ..... by that stage, a cup of coffee won't fix it because you can't keep it down ....

There wouldn't be too many old electricians that don't have OCD. If you get the pretty colours on the wires mixed up too often, you just won't get old.
