Mobile Provider

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

NP, I read that report this morning. It doesn't surprise me that a big company may have told a big ol porky, possibly to increase patronage. Over the past 15 years or so, with about 40 or so mobile users in our immediate work group we first used Telstra, then Vodafone then Telstra again and finally Optus. Our group found Telstra to offer the best coverage of the three.
Not going to suggest there weren't black spots. Optus only worked for us with a signal booster if there was any signal noise or VSD's at that site.
We travel around the east coast on a regular basis. Telstra is still my first choice. Yes it costs more, but it works, for me.
Cheers
David

David, the east coast has excellent coverage as that's where the people and profit growth is, it's away from the east coast and large population areas where the problems lie and where telstra has been conning people that they can get coverage with just a phone. When the facts for years has been you need a booster and antenna in many places they claim otherwise and even then the signal can be crap. In many of those places Optus has good coverage and no need for a booster or extra antenna.

As for price, my telstra connection is from Mate communications, $15 for 16G, all phone and text. It's normally $25 but we have home internet with them so get $10 of the ph and can bank unused data. My optus sim is $18.80 all txt and ph and 25G.

Mannum is fairly poor reception on Telstra, even with a booster, Optus is fine with just the phone and all our computer stuff is through the phone as well .... although, we use a tad more the 16gb between us
