Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

There is no stopping me, am I a fire bug? Got up early (before noon) Straight outside and got back to the last of my burn off and the smoke was thick just like flying through the clouds  All the bus shades have been washed dried and put back into their own bags. Even found some of my dads hand made luggage and his navy bags and one that was his for the boat trip over here in 1956, all hand made even the button holes. What do I do with them? I cant justify throwing them out even though I have no use for them :( G managed to dismantle the old bus :( awning and took the fabric still attached to the top and we will secure it as a winter wind break for the birds. He also touched up Donkey, she has been out in all weathers and had faded a bit. Rain expected maybe tomorrow so jobs for inside will be removing everything on the walls incl curtain pelmets trying to get ready for the painter. No more BOB's for a couple of weeks.Shower time so stay safe and warm everyone and all sickies take care. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight VicA x :D

Dot, put anything you want to sell on Farcebook Marketplace.
Unless it is of sentimental value to you. If so, put it back in the cupboard.

Dot, are you sure that you weren't voting in a new Pope? Hope your firebugging is all done now. Enjoy the sleeping in, that you deserve tomorrow mate, certainly sounds like sleeping weather xxxx

I have done a little bit more of my decluttering. So far the spare room is getting loaded up with heaps of bags for a charity shop run. That will happen, once we get home from the next lot of caravan trips. While we had little sunshine, the weather stayed dry and cold, so inside was a good place to be.

The afternoon, saw me going to progress for an early meeting. Next week, when it should be on, is a public holiday, and we won't be in town. So today was as good as any. The big issue today was the ebikes and scooters. We have had some darling children destroy the surface on the town tennis courts, doing burnouts etc. They were caught on camera, parents called in and fined by local coppers and made to pay towards the resurfacing of the courts. We all thought that would be enough to get the monsters to settle down a bit, but no. They are still terrorising the townspeople as they try to shop etc. So as our local member, who also is the minister for police, we have asked her for some training for the brats. Our state is legalising using the bloody bikes and scooters, but not enforcing any rules of even helmet wearing. So we have asked for a lot more education to be happening.

As his nibs refuses to go with me to progress (not his thing he says) I have been able to get a neighbour to join with us. This is giving us some thing else to share when it's too quiet here. He is happy to drive, so I am happy to be driven. My night driving can be a lot hit n miss of late, with streets that are very black at nights.

Deb,
Have you & your Progress Group considered a length of piano wire, stretched across their path just above front wheel height?
That should ensure the little darlings go a*$e over t!t and hopefully disable either their bikes or their person… at least temporarily. 😉

T1,
“… just above front wheel height…” on a scooter would put the wire at about ankle height, not high enough to cause serious injury, besides, it would catch the vertical handlebar column, eliminating any possible risk of damage to the rider from the wire.
The result I was imagining was a sudden stop to the scooter, resulting in a rider taking a swan-dive over the handlebars.
Speaking from experience, that usually results in nothing more serious than gravel rash.

and the kid riding behind tries to turn too sharply, due to lack of experience (only a kid, remember) and high sides off the scooter, now flesh and bone heading towards the piano wire .........

I can't see a jury who have children or even have relations who have children, not finding guilty in light of such a deliberate act, even if it was only intended to cause minor gravel rash ..... what if the kid wasn't wearing a helmet and landed head first .....

No, just plan and simply, No, such a post could even be construed as inciting violence https://stoppublicthreats.legalaid.nsw. ... 20violence.

Keep those cameras going and at some stage the parents of such mutants will plead bankruptcy then they MAY get the message. The case of the mutant in Adelaide that did the same thing on a bike trail just got a slap on the wrist. I'm with Rayon this little mongrels will never learn. You could always give them a bloody good spanking but then the PC nutters would have a fit, hey that's a good idea.

Terry,
We could construct all sorts of ‘what ifs’ till the cows come home — to no good purpose.
Dottie’s solution would at least lead to SOMEONE thinking maybe we should change the behaviour of these hoods-in-the-making.
End of discussion, as far as I’m concerned.
Early start tomorrow. So…
Goodnight T1, Dottie, and everyone. 🛌
