Deborah, All About Caravan Repairs is at Doyalson on the Pacific Highway, close to home if you’re thinking about moving the caravan.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deb,
I agree with Shirley.
From what I saw of the development around Warners Bay a couple of years ago, Cardiff would be too “big city” in the traders’ attitudes.
Doyalson would (I hope) be a bit more “country town”, where traders are interested in their customers — and thus their business reputation — than Cardiff.
That’s what we’ve learned since moving from Melbourne suburbia to the regional town of Rutherglen (pop: 2500).
And it works both ways: if you’re a prompt payer and reasonable with tradies (not demanding or ‘superior’) the word gets around and you get work done promptly and properly.
If you try “big city” attitude or are a reluctant payer, you find that tradies are ‘too busy’ to fit your job into their work schedule.
CASE IN POINT: I phoned our local sparky to ask about how I can test our wired-in smoke alarms. He offered to check them for us, and arrived in 30 minutes (had to finish another job) — no charge.

And they have an excellent club there, even let you park the motorhome or caravan out the back ..... membership fee back when we were doing the Malany get together trips, worked out to not only paying for itself but a saving of a few $$ all up once you bought a few beers and a meal ......

Oh wow Deborah what a PITA of a time you are having for sure
Those companies don't give 2 hoots about the clients, give them hell. This machine kept flashing up on the screen that we had a virus then other bugs so turned the thing off and took it to the fix it man this am and he left if all done in our special hidey hole this arvo. Saw my GP today my BP was still perfect and the report from the recent CT showed some issues with my back (not the surgical site) but shall ride it out until I have to have something done. Barium swallow showed a stricture further down the gullet so she agreed that speech therapy would most likely help ?? Changed some meds for Jock itch under the boobs
(had to get authorization for it) Went to the op shop with the back of the car chocker block but only bought one basket of jumpers home ($7)
As for T1 I am having a brain fade of what he is up to next
Tennis getting good now so off to a nice warm bed to watch the end of the men's game which may go for a while . Take care all you sickies, we are off for our Covid jabs tomorrow at the chemist, now every 12 mths for us. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Night Dottie, do you have the gusting winds as well as the rain? Being Mannum, the rain is relatively light, but big drops all the same, with the wind pushing them up the driver's side of the bus so they sound like hail, and the wind making every joint in the awning groan, I'm off the bed so I can take the ears out and not hear any of it

Heavy rain with strong winds here last night as well. Even with the ears out I could still hear it above the movie. Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
It reached big time proportions here last night, glad I took the white carport thingy down, it would have been destroyed. I was concerned the new awning might not make it through the night, even with the three awning bolsters and rigid anti flapper kits, as well as being tied to the truck, it banged and groaned and rocked the whole motorhome, even though it's standing on 4 hydraulic legs ..... see what you missed Dottie
Still raining even now, but hopefully the wind will settle a bit ..... spoke too soon, it must have been getting its breath or something

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hope you are staying extra warm in your cyclonic winds there Dot. xxxx
We have been having frozen winds here too. We have had the house all closed up and tried to keep warm, but the winds made it inside enough to give us both sinus headaches. That made today a wasted day, we were both knocked out by the headaches.
Tonight is again freezing cold, so I am off to a warm bed
nighty night xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Our water tank is over flowing, the drain out the front has blocked and the rain still drops. Did a little bit outside this arvo , the rain belts into the shed veranda and it hangs around due to the concrete being a bit low in places, going to put up one of our canvas walls from some tent hire place that went bust. The painter is starting next Friday so we are putting all furniture into the center of the rooms for them.Good time to wash the curtains. Cleaned out the walk in and emptied 28 coat hangers of my clothing and filled 2 more bags for the op shop. I don't tell G when I do his
This is a pic of my claytons Grand son what a spunk hey? His brother is also in the NZ Navy, Hope everyone is safe and sound and being careful on the roads with this weather. Goodnight everyone x
