Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

An inside day again today with the fire doing it's job. Big night tonight for the BOB's it is the race with all the top guys in it and the race before the TDF so I an getting ready before it starts on SBS one. Also on of interest is the tennis, and my footy team playing, I shall be flipping stations and running (hobbling) between the bedroom tv and the usual tv. Have got 2 bedrooms ready for the painters so another few rooms to get ready total to be done is 4 bedrooms,2 bathrooms, laundry, lounge room, dining room, kitchen, ordinary dining room, another lounge rm then the entry and hallways. So we have a lot to do.Last night I washed the curtains of 2 rooms, hung them on 2 clothes airers and they were dry this morning thanks to the fire. Will do more tonight. Do any of you lot remember Greg and Dee? well Dee is in hosp waiting for her nasty tumor to be sorted from her wrist (bone) She will be flown to Brisb for the surgery once they get their act together. G has finished the wind and rain barrier for the birds just one more to go.. Noggins should be back from their cruise to NZ soon hoping for some pics . Hope all sickies are improving and being careful on the roads. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Swisszulu x :D

Likewise in Rutherglen.
Forecast maximum was spot on for once: 8.1* by our weather station. 0.1 warmer(?) than forecast. 😊
Fireplace called into action at 0930, when it was 5.8 outside. 🥶
A day to hit the books, all rugged up and feeding wood into the firebox at regular intervals. Still burning. 🔥😁

Spent the day in the on again/off again rain, attempting to get everything packed in to motorhome that is going with us, and packed into anywhere secure for what is staying here till we get back.
Tuesday is departure day ......ready or not .....

Dot, you have been very busy getting the house ready for painting, Amazing how much stuff has to be moved. xxxx

Another re-run of yesterday here. It must be snowing close by somewhere, I am sure the penguins and polar bears on our jetty are real. Shirley was right about it being cold. Even her bowling would have been under icy conditions.

Finally shared the events of the week with our son. He would have dropped everything and come and rebuilt our van for us, enough to keep us on the road. That is exactly why we didn't tell him. The weather on Wednesday was atrocious and he is a busy man in Sydney. We would have been even more worried having him driving for a couple of long hours, after doing a full days work, to get to us etc. So it is by our own choice that the van is being dealt with by insurance company. His nibs has pointed out that the repairers said that they will have the axles all checked out by people next door who are axle specialists who we have used in the past. That gives us a lot more confidence to know that the whole problem will be assessed and repaired correctly.

After next weekend, we have no more markets that need the van until August, so I have been told to be patient and let the people do their jobs by his nibs. We may miss another jayco weekend, but will work that one out as we go.

nighty night xxx
Deborah

Fire’s dead. Room cooling down.
Electric blanket on and warming bed 🛌
So it’s goodnight from me, and it’s goodnight from him.
😴 💤

Same as yesterday = rain and cold.here we go again = deaths in custody IF people of all colours behaved themselves then there would be no issues 1/ was trying to get on a plane Piss-- as a nute and another caught shop lifting and tried to run, well hello if you fight to avoid being arrested then expect to be fought back a bit more than you give. I am not going to say sorry to anyone I did nothing. End of rant,Deborah have a good rest while you are awaiting for your van to be fixed. Heard today of a person we know has another new rental house (Gov house) Now he is a drunk, on every drug available gets the dole, his mother also gives him $200 pr week mostly for his grog. He lives in the South parklands with his mob (friends)his last 2 provided houses were both burnt to the ground as he invites all his mates in for their "parties etc) Now tell me I am being too hard, a real family in need should be given these houses in stead of this scum. When he gets into a drunken fight and is stabbed he gets taken to hosp , gets admitted then gets out because he wants drugs and booze again, then readmitted a few days later for wound infection and the same repeat again. Hospitals are over run yes and mostly by him and his kind, treat the really sick people first and do the dregs when the real sickies have been treated. Sorry but this makes me so dam angry. Well Terry says he is on the road tomorrow but the only Q/ is will it be morning or late evening? When ever it happens have a safe trip T1 and Margaret. BOB's last night was a beauty because all the top boys were all in it and one of my boys won the stage = the Pog. More moving stuff into the middle of the rooms to be done, time to get moving so Goodnight everyone x :D and Goodnight Riverlander x :D

With todays pitiful effort between the rain events, I don't expect it will be first light tomorrow .... might luck if it's last light or technically still Tuesday before we leave

Haven't even got as far as trying to start the engine yet 'cause I need it dry out under the Winnie so I can crawl around and find the relay solenoid that links the start battery to the house battery ..... then I can wire that up and reconnect the start battery.

This being an old bloke sucks, not enough go when I get up and not enough sustained energy to keep going once I get started ..... but at least the MG is ratchet strapped down on the trailer to my satisfaction ..... so one job is completed

Well, so much for that plan, the body finally gave out before I finished packing all the Winnie bins or clearing under the awning ..... with a bit of luck we'll leave before my birthday .... the table is booked and the guests invited for the birthday dinner in Wollongong ...... so I still have a week
What was going to be a leisurely zig zag trip visiting friends on the way through and staying for a few days at each, might be down to an over night and day visit and head off again .......

At least I have started the engine and it's still running on all 10 cyls, so another worry ticked off the list.

Terry get a good nights sleep or rest and start off fresh in the morning. Today was all taken up with G going to his GP and me just fluffing around cleaning and I would of never believed the amount of sheer dirt in the window tracks. Have removed just about everything from the walls, got rid of cobwebs the size of fishing nets, and vacuumed numerous insects up incl 3 dead cockroaches.Have washed every curtain in the house plus our everyday washing sheets and towels and every bit has dried in front of the fire, who needs dryers?Sounds like Dave is having a great time. More rain as I write, it can stop for a few days to let it sink in.BOB's on again tonight but ever so late. Have a nice headache tonight so I must have a cuppa , a couple of panadol' hot shower, then bed e buys.Stay warm safe and dry Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Peter and Sandra xx :D :D Where and what are you up to?

T1,
If your zig (or zag) takes you anywhere in our neighbourhood (read: ‘within 100km’) feel free to drop in for a “Hello” and a glass of water… I flavour it with hops. 😉
