Yes Dave, The little symbol that you put after a noun to make it a plural with the es. Do I have to spell it out? Here goes, The little symbol that you put after a noun to make it a plural with the es.

Note to all:
These ( ) are called PARENTHESES
BRACKETS look like this: [ ]
Here endeth the lesson for today.
Note that there will be a question on this in the end-of-term examination.

ps. Jon,
(Or is that IJon?
)
Two is a number.
If you wish to express ‘as well’ in the short form, the word is ‘too’.
And as an afterthought, what I have used above are referred to as ‘single quotes’. The other ones are called “double quotes”. The general rule is: double quotes for speech; single quotes for other stuff.
I know it’s a bit confusing when the same symbol does triple duty as both a quote mark (single and double) and an apostrophe.
All clear now?

T1,
When we had our custom kitchen designed and installed 11 years ago the ‘Other Utensils’ drawer was specifically made deeper to accommodate those items.
