Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Good morning everyone...
Twas quite on the good morning thread yesterday.
Where is everyone...cold gotcha tongue ..
Spent a fair bit of yesterday looking for our tile cutter, haven't used it for probably a dozen years
It was eventually found....in a place it doesn't normally reside . I don't know who put it there... but it wasn't me
So that was the biggy for the day...I screwed it to my bench in the shed to make it easier to use...
Where are you now Dave.
Jon have you received your engine head yet.
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Good morning everyone. My brain is still on UK time. We are now home sweet home. It was great to sleep in my own bed.
Our plane was delayed leaving Dublin by at least an hour or so. While we were waiting I'm looking around as you do, and I see this bloke looking at me. It was Terrie's son. He'd been to the Isle of Mann TT and had been looking around Dublin for a couple of days. So that had a totally unexpected catchup. Our connecting flight was bit of a worry now. It should have begun boarding before we even landed. When we walked up the ramp back into the terminal, we were greeted with a bank of Emirates staff with a signs with connecting flight numbers on it. It then became an exercise in efficiency. Stand here, wait with me, all present, follow me and off we went. Out of arrivals, through a dedicated line at the screening point, through the terminal to our departure gate and straight onto the plane. Well done Emirates. A few of us were more than a bit nervous that we'd miss our connecting flight. The flight over the Pacific Ocean was pretty ordinary and a bit bumpy over near Indonesia, but we made it home OK. We both felt like zombies so when we got home had a cuppa and a lot of sleep. Just gotta adjust the body clock now.
Did we love it? Absolutely.
Would we do it again? In a heartbeat.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers
David

Good morning.
Great you're sleeping in your bed Dave... nothing better.
You couldn't get me to go there...in a heartbeat .
Temperature not as cool this morning....
We are off to a memorial up the road for a fellow Degilboian...he passed away a cuppla weeks ago..
Yesterday was just a kitchen day...
Keep safe everyone.
Bernie
Dave,
The ‘bumpy bit’ over Indonesia was probably a result of the volcano eruption there coupla days ago…
Re adjusting your body clock: ask Terrie to check your back for a little button…

Just avoid the switch that gets installed when you turn 70 that causes a system shut down as soon as you sit down ..... If Terrie finds the "Why am I here" reset button, please share the location, even just changing direction while making breakfast seem to trigger that " Ummmm .... what was it I came over here for" circuit lately

Good morning everyone.
Half of yesterday was working in the house kitchen...
And at one o'clock we went up the road to the hall for the memorial service for our departed neighbour, they had moved in to a retirement village a year or so ago...
It was a good send off.
Update on our son...he presented him self to the Prince Charles hospital... unannounced... straight into emergency, so he is still there...we think..no more info from him.. they were doing all the tests the other two hospital's have done.
And it's a different bacon and eggs Sunday...I will be cooking in the motorhome and bringing it into the dinning room in the house ...
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Good morning everyone. It's a bit overcast here on the GC, and we have had a few light showers overnight. Not much in it though.
Did a bit of unpacking and washing yesty, then went to the footy and caught up with an old mate. His son was playing.
I have checked all my pics from our flight home, I thought I had a pic of that big grey cloud that caused the pilot to go up to 40,000ft. I'm glad we missed it. No pic though, unfortunately.
We are still unpacking and trying to adjust our body clock. I don't know how those that fly London to Perth direct do it.
Will be off to the footy again this arvo, the young gkid is playing.
Hope you enjoyed your brekky Bernie, I'm off bacon for a while, it was served up cold for brekky nearly every day while on tour.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Just be thankful it didn't come pre-constructed, where you had to cut it off the pig, smoke it and then fry it
