I see there is a headline the manchild is chucking a hissy fit because they won't give him a Nobel peace prize......

Reminds me of the old roster joke

I can't see that he deserves one either. The Israelis are still killing people in Gaza. The Russian v Ukraine war is still going gang busters. And now Israel is throwing missiles at Iran cos they threw missiles at Israel or vice versa. You can't believe what you hear or see anymore. A.I. has distorted and contorted everything.
Unless you actually see it happen it may not be real anymore.
Cheers

Friend has probably hit the nail on the head.
Don Taco left the G7 meeting early because he had no idea what was going on…

Makes sense to me!

I doubt he even realised that G is the 7th letter in the alphabet  With no chance of a publicity photo opportunity ..... without him making a further fool of himself, his handlers probably thought planting flag poles was more his speed ;)

How can one "taco"think up so much stuff to "sort of say and do" in 24 hrs is mind boggling to say the least.David is right about who or what to believe has all gone now.

I think you are giving him too much credit, it's the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 that tells him what to say and do, the real DJT is the late night posts on his social media platform, and the going off script and rambling crap when making a speech .... he forgets what he was told to say and can't read the tele prompter notes .... remember him spitting the dummy about the teleprompter messing up in the last term he was in ..... they tried talking in an ear piece to tell him what to say .... but it just confuses him because he has forgotten the topic by then and his mind has wandered off somewhere else ..... so it doesn't make sense to him ...... maybe they will perfect the cartoon type speech notes for him to follow

The latest bombing in Iran, that wouldn't have been Trump making that call, he knows it's bad for his poll numbers .... but he has to talk it through now, like it was all his idea ...

Learned something interesting last night.
The Taco’s “masterpiece of subterfuge” in sending a dummy run of B2s west while the real bombing squadron made a beeline east to Iran was actually developed under Joe Biden.
😁😜
Not that Don Taco will ever give credit where it’s due… 🙄

You might recall that during Biden’s tenure the B2 made a “public relations” visit to Israel. It flew non-stop from the USA, with mid-air refuelling.
That was the ‘proof of concept’ run, a dress rehearsal for yesterday’s show.

Subterfuge has been used in every war conducted throughout modern history, so nothing new at all and trump is as dumb as a dead rock and psychopathically deranged. Remember reading many years ago from someone predicting the future and not sure whether it was Nostradamus or not, but they said the anti christ would rise from the greatest power on the planet in the 2000's and that happens to be the USA. Nostradamus predicted ww3 in 2025 and it would be stopped on the island continent Antipodes and there's only one inhabited island continent, Aus. He also predicted a 27 year war of attrition beginning in 2004, which would mean if it were true that's 2031 and that more than 90% of humans would be gone by then.

Now how true any of that is have no idea, but if we look at the reality, we find around 90% of humans live in the northern hemisphere and that's where the majority of wars are conducted and where the nukes are based and a nuclear war would spread deadly radiation and pollution across the northern hemisphere. Then there's pollution, the majority of air land and water pollution is in the northern hemisphere and we totally rely upon oil from that area for today’s societies to continue and as all the medications, pharmaceuticals, additives, preservatives, plastics and fuel come from fossil oil, we are totally reliant upon overseas oil. Iran is threatening to close the Hormuz straits, through which more than 20% of oil transits and we being the furthest away, would probably be the first to suffer, especially as we only hold between 14 days and 30 days of oil reserves. Our wonderful politicians sold all our oil reserves overseas, so if anything happens in the middle east, our society could come to big stop pretty fast, then the joke would be on us.

However not thinking of myself, as at my age continuous life is a bonus and one which I still enjoy pain free, but like most others, have kids, grand kids and great grand kids. They are the ones I worry about and discovered when away partying, that may have a great great grand kid soon. :o.

Been home for 3 days and had time to catch up with world events, didn't go on line the entire time away, never had time as the party just didn't stop until the middle of last week and when checking everything, not a good look for the future. As for trump and the USA, it's stuffed and had worried about Aus security if war breaks out, but it seems we aren't that far behind and are developing two major defence systems, which along with our 3000+klms over horizon radar, should make us pretty safe.

Those two systems, are called Ghost Bat and Ghost Shark. Ghost Bat is an autonomous air drone with a range over 3000klms, the air force is calling it their wingman because it can protect other aircraft and also attack sea and land based enemies. Ghost Shark, is a small autonomous submarine also with a range of over 300klms and can sit on the bottom of the ocean for months and carries torpedoes and the next generation will carry short range missiles. As attacking Aus means travelling many thousands of klms they would be detected long before getting close by our over the horizon radar and intercepted by our autonomous weapon systems, hopefully. Ukraine which leads the way in drone technology, has shown us what can be done and it seems many of our defence businesses have taken up the drone and developed some nice kit.

Like just about every war US has been involved in, oil access is the real reason to strike. Iran seems to have brought it on themselves by threatening to close oil export routes .....

I guess this will push up the transition to EV's faster, oil prices going up and possible fuel restrictions, the sort we haven't seen for a very long time, is something the average motorist will think seriously about alternatives if/when they hit .....

Australia no longer has a fuel reserve as such, fuel stations hold less than a week's supply in their tanks these days, because fuel prices can leave them with tanks full of fuel that cost them more than they can sell it for .... or the reverse, they sold it at the market price and it suddenly goes up 10 or 20 cents a ltr ..... and they simply don't have the funds to replace it.
That was the way just about every freehold service station went to the wall, the company sites .... if they are locked into not putting the price up for 24 hrs, they simply stop selling fuel until they can put the price up .... even in the fuel in the underground tanks was 20 ltr cheaper when it was pumped in there.

A lot of the big storage tanks that were needed when we had refineries, to carry supplies to cover maintenance shut downs, are now out of survey and not being recertified or replaced because they are no longer certifiable.

Some 20 yrs ago, I was offered a job as a tanker driver out of Port Botany on a sub-contract pay rate of $30 hr and an enforced min 4 hrs overtime every day ..... they simply couldn't keep up with demand and hold drivers, 20 yrs ago ..... things have not improved ..... the tanker trucks are bigger these days, but there are only so many drivers who are certified and willing to drive a potential fireball ...... even for that sort of money 20 yrs ago, I wasn't willing either .....
